Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarokatuh

Praise we pray to the presence of Allah SWT. who have given grace and
guidance so that we can complete the group assignment entitled “Paraphasing
sentences deriving from reading comprehension and developing reading schemes”
on time.

Moreover, the purpose of writing this paper is to fulfill assignments in the


course "Interpretative reading comprehension". In addition, this paper also aims to
add insight into the science of Islamic education for readers and also for writers.

First of all, we think of thanking Muh. Tamrin Am. S. Pettawali, S.S.,


M.Pd. as a lecturer in the interpretative reading comprehension course who has
given this assignment so that we can add knowledge and insight according to the
field of study that I am engaged in.

Then, I realized that the paper I was writing was far from perfect.

INTRODUCTION

A. Background

Quoting sentences related to reading comprehension and schema


development means repeating understood phrases from reading and enriching
one's reading mindset. This involves breaking down the meaning of a sentence or
passage and rearranging the words in a way that helps deepen one's understanding
of the text. Schematic development, on the other hand, involves the process of
constructing and organizing knowledge and experience in ways that help us make
sense of new information that we encounter in our reading. By actively engaging
with texts and thinking critically about their meaning, we can develop a more
complex and nuanced understanding of the world around us.

important to keep reading and develop a reading scheme. The reading scheme is
the mental framework used by the reader to understand the text. By developing
strong reading schemes, one can more easily understand texts and paraphrase
sentences more effectively.

The development of reading skills is something that is very important to


master. One of the reading skills that needs to be mastered is the ability to
understand and paraphrase sentences. Paraphrasing is a way of re-expressing
information in different words but still maintaining the same meaning. In reading,
the ability to paraphrase sentences is very important because it can help us to
understand the information we read better. In addition, the ability to paraphrase
sentences can also help us avoid plagiarism when we write papers. Therefore, it is
very important for us to develop our reading schemes and ability to paraphrase
sentences so that we can become better readers and better writers.

Reading comprehension is an important skill that enables individuals to


understand written texts, gather information, and make sense of the world around
them. However, many people experience difficulties in understanding, either due
to a lack of vocabulary, poor reading skills, or an inability to identify the main
idea of a text. One way to increase comprehension is through paraphrasing, which
