Introduction
In this assignment you are asked to perform the financial analysis of the listed firm of your
choice. Further, the selected firm should meet the following selection criteria.
1. It should be listed on the stock exchange
2. It should be not declared the bankrupt previously
3. It should be a manufacturing concern
4. You can not perform this assignment on banks and financial firms
Task 1: Critically evaluate the objectives of financial statements for different stakeholders in
the light of international financial reporting standards. Further, critically evaluate the position
of an accountant and internal auditor in an organisation.
Task 2: Conduct the profitability analysis of the firm and compare its results with the average
results of its relevant industry.
Task 3: Critically conduct the balance sheet analysis of a firm and draw its comparison with
other at least two firms from the same industry.
Task 4: Critically evaluate how a selected firm can improve its financial position in coming
years.
