ANSWERS
(Research on students' Self-study)

1. Rerearch analysis
The research helps you understand the factors affecting your self-study and offers solutions to help
you increase your self-study ability even more. According to the collected data, we find that
distractions, daily temptations are one of the factors affecting the self-study of university students.
The results also show that students still face another difficulty such as self-study and search for
materials related to the lesson. From the above factors make students bored in self-study

Based on the results of your research, you should read and research on your own about a book and
document related to your favorite major and reward yourself when you have self-understanding about
a certain knowledge that you have ever wondered. infected. From the aforementioned actions, it will
motivate you every time you study on your own.

The tools and methods used in the research to get the data are Google Form, Google Scholar and
quick interviews which were successful in finding information and learning about the factors affecting
the study. self-study university students. Among them, Google Form is the most used tool because its
ease of use and convenience make it easy for me to extract information from a large number of
students. However, using Google Form also faces certain difficulties such as the answers will be
skewed because of the difference in ability, style and seriousness of the interviewee.

In summary, the data collected on factors affecting self-study has provided insights into students'
difficulties in self-study. It affects the test results of students in class to some extent. Upcoming
educational programs will assist students in enhancing their self-directed learning by helping them
understand the aspects that influence their decision making and that will help them achieve better
results in future.

2. Recommendations
2.1.Summary.
The suggestion system is the foundation to support and guide strategies to help students increase their
self-study ability and develop thinking in the learning process anywhere. Students will have access to
a wide range of resources through the system, including information about potential careers and
contacting mentors or business leaders for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

2.2.List of Features
Creating interactive lectures: “The problem of forming and developing thinking is not only a matter
of mastering knowledge, wisdom and mode of action, but interspersed with a profound expression of
emotions and feelings, attitudes learner's positive attitude." (Mr. Ngo The Lam, 2020). In fact, the
internal components of self-study attitude include: need for self-study, self-study motivation, interest
in self-study, intention to learn. Along with the above factors, students must be able to self-study
through the implementation of a self-study plan, how to organize self-study, especially based on
learning results to overcome difficulties in self-study. Thus, students must actively self-study, self-
collect materials on content, methods, themselves have the need to accumulate knowledge as well as
methods and self-study skills.

Teaching methods of teachers: The learning requirements and teaching methods of teachers must be
suitable to the cognitive level, psychophysiological characteristics of each individual to form and
develop self-study skills in each individual students. Self-study skills, once formed, must be regularly
practiced and reinforced. The innovation of teaching methods in accordance with the cognitive level
and psychophysiological characteristics of the individual is a factor that directly affects the training
of self-study skills for students in order to promote positivity and self-discipline. , independent and
creative. of the students. Studies show that the quality of self-study depends on the level of
organization and control of learning activities of the teacher.

Learning method: To achieve the goal, the task of learning in some way. Students must have a
reasonable study plan, have a time distribution and apply appropriate forms of self-study. The learning
method is decisive to the learning outcomes of students. Besides the above factors, the ability to think,
generalize, synthesize, and analyze problems is an internal factor that directly determines the

effectiveness of self-study activities.

2.3.Pros and cons

2.3.1. Pros:
Self-study brings a lot of experiences and benefits to students. Overall, this learning method has
outstanding benefits such as:
- Help learners be active in exploring and absorbing new knowledge, easily learning whatever they
like.
- Always update knowledge regularly and continuously every day, every hour.
- Help learners to know more new and useful knowledge that is not in books or not taught by
teachers.
- Improve productivity and efficiency in learning and working.
- Help learners improve knowledge and experience, hard skills, soft skills...
- Help each person develop and perfect themselves.
- Promote the creativity and capacity of each person.
- The ability to self-study will set the stage for the development of future work

2.3.2. Cons:
Possible Cost: The cost of system creation and upkeep may deter certain educational institutions or
students from utilizing it. Technological restrictions: Because some students lack access to key
technology, the efficacy of the system may be hampered. Limited personal interaction: Although the
system allows users access to mentors and industry experts, it might not offer the same degree of
support and intimacy as in-person interactions.

3. Reflections
These are some books and other resources I gathered to learn more about problems that impact
students' capacity to self-study.
• Mr. Ngo The Lam (2020). “Some theoretical issues about self-study and self-study skills of
students at university”.
• Mr. Nguyen Duy Can (1975), "Toi tu hoc"
Page |8
• Daniel Kahneman (2011), “Thinking, Fast and Slow (Hardcover)”
• James Clear (2018), “Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break
Bad Ones (Kindle Edition)”

While assessing the findings, take into account whether they are consistent with the study's initial
objectives and assumptions. Were the study's open-ended questions addressed? Have the hypotheses
been proven correct or incorrect? Consider the precision and dependability of the data gathered and
the analysis done as well.

The research discussed in the previous section suggests that a variety of factors influence students'
self-study in the present. Examples of these causes include one's own interest and love for the topic,
influences from family and friends, or other elements like lethargy and invites from new people.
Overall, the information from the study sheds some light on the details that students should take extra
care to consider when making plans for self-study.

This report fully meets the requirements of learning about self-study habits of students today. From
there, it helped me better understand the self-study of students and come up with solutions to improve
each person's self-study ability.

Some of the skills that I gained from doing this research are as follows
- During my research, when I encountered some difficulties in finding documents for the report, I
came to know some tools that made it easier for me to find information.
- Surveying makes it easy for me to know people's needs and provide solutions easily.

Some things that I need to improve more

- During my research, I missed some necessary information because I thought it was unnecessary
information. Next time I will try to refine and give the most accurate results to readers.
- I have to learn more about the skill of finding information and organizing information in the
most logical and main way possible.
