Once the protection relay is communicating with SAS, it


should be strictly prohibited to use front port or personal
laptop to modify the settings of the IED’s. Engineering
3 Work Station to be used for and further updates in the
configurations. Changes in IED’s settings/configuration
should not be performed without prior approval from
CSD engineer.
SAS specification compliance list is available and all
4 points are complied. Clear approved justifications are
available for non-compliance points.
