Courier Carnage
Courier Carnage
The rest of the world may have moved on to Mars, but those of us
who run the Gaslands still have basic needs. Parcel Delivery in the Gaslands
is troublesome, but necessary. Deliveries still need to be made; residents
still demand their purchases get to their destination. Shipping is
dangerous; the Gaslands is not the safest place anymore. Shipping
companies have begun sending all parcels Cash On Delivery. This has made
the job of the Shipping driver a much more dangerous one.
Drivers leave the dispatch warehouse with a load of parcels and a list
of destinations. It is up to them to safely deliver the parcel, and return to
the warehouse with the payment and delivery invoice, this is the only way
the driver will receive their payment. If a driver fails to make his delivery
and another driver completes the task, she will get the first driver’s
payment. Some drivers have taken to arming their delivery vehicles with
weapons, armor+ and crews much like the Gaslands competitors.
more than others. Team Drivers progress through their list of deliveries instead of
passing through gates. Drivers will be required to reduce their gear to gear 0 when they
reach less than 3” of a location to “deliver” at that location. Teams randomly deal
Three Parcel Cards to each Driver.
Teams:
Courier Carnage can be played as a Solo-Car game or as Teams. It plays best with
no more than 6 cars total. Teams can consist of two teams of three Delivery vehicles or
three teams of two Delivery vehicles. Delivery Vehicles can be any of the following
below Vehicle Types, and fall within the rules for those types: Car, Pickup Truck, Van, Ice
Cream Truck, Jeep, Heavy Truck.
Suggested Can totals: One Car, 40 Cans; Two Cars, 60 Cans; Three Cars, 80 Cans
Pole Position:
Drivers each roll a 1D6 to determine Pole Position. At the end of each gear
phase, pass the Pole Position marker clockwise. .
Deployment:
Incapacitated Driver:
st
incapacitated Driver’s parcels, they must start out again in 1 Gear. If the Driver
chooses not to stop to take the parcels, another Driver can slow down and stop to loot
the parcels from the incapacitated driver. Parcels can also be transferred from
incapacitated vehicles to operating vehicles of the same team if a teammate manages to
get there before parcels are looted.

New Sponsor:
Parking Master. Halting your vehicle within 3” of your location after a Slide or Spin
without wiping out or causing a Collision will grant you an Audience Vote.
New Rules:
Oh S#!%, This is My Stop: Drivers can come to a halt and shift into Gear 0 if they are
within 4” of their intended target at the end of their movement template, so long as
they began the movement in Gear 1 or 2.
Audience Votes:
Producers use Audience Votes to keep viewers on their seats. It makes for
better television. Drivers receive Audience votes as Deliveries are made. When a
vehicle is the first to make a Delivery, each other player rolls a D6, and adds the number
of Deliveries their team has left to make. If the total is 8 or more, they immediately gain
1 audience vote.
Audience Votes can also be awarded in other various ways. If a Driver manages
to Incapacitate another Vehicle or if a Driver performs a Parking Master stunt.
Victory:
Spoils:
If you are playing a Televised Season, each vehicle that completes their deliveries
earns their team 1D6 cans during the post-game sequence. Each driver gains 1D6 cans
for each victory point they scored. Any driver that ends the game with 3 victory points
or more gains an additional 3D6 cans.
