Labor and Production Standards

So many violations of fair labor and production standards occur due to uneven

manufacturing quality. As much as there is a likelihood of a company making mistakes,

adherence to quality manufacturing practices does not always lead to mistakes. So many food

scandals occur due to the consumption of contaminated foods and products. Food contamination

occurs typically from production to consumption stages to produce toxins that eventually

compromise food safety. The neglect of personal hygiene and food hygiene increases the food

safety scandals globally, particularly in developing countries.

International Labor Organization sets guidelines over labor and production standards to

develop national and local policies. The organization also improves various administrative

structures while serving as an excellent industrial relations source in labor dispute resolution

applications. The primary users of international labor standards are the constituents of the

International Labour Organization, which actors have found as valuable tools. The guidelines are

enforced by the new actors who use the International Labor Organization by participation in the

international level diffusion. The guidelines also operate under the set forth principle by the

International Labour organization, which is responsible for all worker's health care from their

employment.

The reaction of the international level is required to achieve decent work in the global

economy. Therefore the other powerful; force that could stop the unethical behavior in labor

productivity and standards is the world community. The world community provides the legal

framework that elaborates and promotes international labor standards so that both development

and economic growth go hand in hand for effective decent work creation. As a result, a level

playing field in the global economy from the international legal framework sets social standards.

Modern Slavery

Modern slavery can look like a regular job from the outside, but the control the victims

undergo makes them face violence and threats. In most cases, most people have fallen into this

oppressive trap, searching for pathways of escaping poverty to improve their lives and offer

support to their families. The most common types of modern slavery include; human trafficking

that refers to the violent act of recruiting or transporting people for unethical purposes like forced

labor or prostitution. Finally, modern slavery occurs due to people's vulnerability that makes

them trapped, tricked, and exploited due to poverty or pushed into jobs in exploitative

conditions.

Most businesses rely on modern slavery by reconfiguring themselves to profit from

forced labor that offers economic benefits. The business reconfiguration around modern slavery

ensures they benefit from forced labor and enhance the business's ability to avoid their illegal

activities detection.

I would recognize the person being trafficked by looking at their mindsets or

psychological and behavioral clues. A mindset of fear and distress commonly results from a

human trafficking victim. Such distress from the victims usually arises from the fear of getting

harmed if they escape from the traffickers. Recognizing the person being trafficked would also

be possible through the clues of their psychology and behavior. I would also help the human

trafficking victim by keeping myself safe. It is not advisable to approach the victim since the

trafficker might be nearby. However, in situations where the person is alone, I wud confidently

approach the person. I would also offer help by expressing my concern for their safety and well-

being and communicating how I care about their safety to understand that they do not deserve the

punishment they are undergoing.

Corruption

Corruption refers to dishonesty undertaken by either an individual or an organization

entrusted with a position of authority with the interest of illicit benefits acquisitions or one

private gain abuse of power. Billions of Finance can be pumped into the economy through

corruption that would eventually result in more jobs created by producing more goods and the

availability of financial startups. Bureaucracy also reduces due to corruption which speeds

administrative practices implementation to govern the markets economic forces. Investors,

therefore, hesitate to put their money in corrupt countries even though emerging markets

investment remains the best investment area for foreigners. 

The Corruption Perception Index (CPI) provides more information about corrupt

countries, companies, and individuals. Non-governmental organizations known as Transparency

International annually publish the index. On the other hand, corrupt companies exist in foreign

bribery, which most companies consider a cost of doing business. Finally, corrupt individuals are

often found in government positions where they exercise their authority for personal gains.

Lobbying refers to the government being influenced by individuals or private interest

groups. The attempt is considered corruption because it affects government operations. The

government always focuses on the will of the lobbyists more than the people's will as billions of

resources are spent on lobbying efforts. Reducing the Lobbyysits influence requires enacting the

Federal Regulation of Lobbying Act to provide information about those who influence the

government for personal gain. The revolving door process is considered corruption because

those influence the regulating bodies designed for public interest protection in charge of the

regulation. What results from the influence is the oversight that enhances policy shift favors

industry over the public interest.
