Chair Bingo
Participate in physical activities and stretches that are done seated in a chair. Be the first
person to cover 3 activities in a row – this can be vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Award
a fun prize to the first person who marks off three activities in a row on their card.
How to play
1) Select a person to draw and call out the chair activity cards
2) Give one bingo card to each player
3) Pass out a handful of markers (this could be pieces of paper)
4) Go through all activities with the players so they are familiar with each movement
5) Select a card and read the instructions out loud, all players should perform that
movement
6) Players with the chair activity on their card should cover up the picture
7) Continue calling chair activities until a player calls Bingo
8) Clear all cards and begin again!
Chair Exercises
Sitting in a chair, place your feet flat on the floor, spaced apart so
they are even with your shoulders. Hold your hands straight down at
your sides. Lift your arms straight out from your sides until they are
parallel with the ground. Hold for 1 second and then slowly lower
arms back down to your sides. Repeat 4 times.
Sitting in a chair, place your feet flat on the floor spaced apart so
they are even with your shoulders, hold your hands straight down at
your sides. Lift your arms in front of you until they are parallel with
the ground. Hold for 1 second and slowly lower arms back down to
your sides. Repeat 4 times.
Rest your back against the back of the chair and place your feet flat
on the floor. Place your hands at your sides or on your lap. Extend
your right leg in front of you until your leg is straight and parallel to
the floor. Flex your foot so your toes are pointing towards your head.
Hold for 2 seconds and lower leg back to the floor. Repeat
movement with left leg.

Sitting towards the edge of your chair, place your legs with knees
slightly bent directly out in front of you. Place your heels on the floor
and point your toes up. Extend your arms out in front of you and
reach down towards your toes. Hold this stretch for 8 seconds and
slowly come back up to your stating position. Repeat 4 times.
Sitting in a chair, place your feet flat on the floor, spaced apart so
they are even with your shoulders. Extend your arms directly out
from your sides so they are parallel with the ground, Rotate your
arms forward in small circles 10 tomes then rotate arms backwards
in small circles 10 times.
Sitting in a chair, hold your arms slightly bent like you are holding a
ball in front of you. Slowly rotate your torso to the left as far as what
is comfortable while holding the rest of your body still. Rotate back
to the centre and repeat the move in the opposite direction. Repeat
4 times.
Sitting in a chair, place your hands on your shoulders with your arms
out to your sides. Bring your elbows together at your centre, hold
for 1 second and release. Repeat 4 times.
Sitting in a chair, raise both hands up over your head with your arms
extended and elbows loose. Keep your elbows close to your head
and slowly bend your arms at the elbows to lower your hands behind
your neck. Slowly move your arms back above your head. Repeat 4
times.
Sitting on the edge of your chair with your knees bent, extend left
arm up over your head. Slowly lift your right knee up as your left
elbow moves down towards the knee, hold for 2 seconds. Release
the hold and return to your staring position. Repeat 4 times and
switch sides.
