Expectations from Teachers
▪ Your classroom tutor (me) is your first point of call for any MCD2050
Marketing related problems.
▪ We are here to support and help you, but will only do so if you put in an
equal effort towards your own study (this means attending all lectures and
maintaining a sufficient level of self study).
▪ Your teachers are who you should come to, in order to clarify doubts
regarding the subject, as opposed to your fellow peers.
▪ We will provide you with feedback for both good and bad results and will
encourage you to develop.
▪ We will expect your best efforts and will not allow for a lazy approach to
study.

Lets Get to Know Each Other
▪ Welcome to Monash College and to MCD2050. Lets begin with an activity, in order
to get to know each other.
▪ In the next 15 – 20 minutes, you will be working on developing your own brand.
▪ What is a brand? A brand is a name, term, symbol, sign, design or a combination of
these that is intended to identify something (usually a product).
▪ Your task is to develop your own brand, something that represents or identifies you.
Something that makes you memorable and allows you to standout from your
competitors (the other students).
▪ At the end of this task, you will be required to present your brand to the class and
tell your story. Your teacher will be doing the same.
