Tutorial letter 103 Assessment 50: 2 weeks (2 weeks in Grade R) 50 %

Tutorial Letter 104 Assessment 51: 3 weeks (1 week in Grade 1, 1 week in grade 2, and 1 50 %
week in Grade 3).

1.2 The assignments

Assessment 02 is attached at the end of the tutorial letter.

1.3 The examination portfolios

The teaching practice portfolios are provided in
✓ Tutorial letter 103 (Assessment 50 requires 2 weeks in Grade R)
✓ Tutorial letter 104 (Assessment 51 requires 1 week in Grade 1, 1 week in grade 2, and 1
week in Grade 3)

Very important

• Your exam is in the form of a portfolio (Assessment 50 and Assessment 51)

• Make sure that you submit your portfolios before the due date, otherwise, you will not pass
the module.
• There is no resubmission of assignments, therefore make sure that you have the correct
and complete assessment before you submit it.
• There is no extension of the due date, therefore do not ask the lecturer for an extension.
• The is no remark for Teaching Practice Examination portfolios
• The is no supplementary/aegrotat for Teaching Practice Examination portfolios
• This is a year module that must be completed in the year of study.
• A failure of the module means re-registering for the module
• You are not allowed to send any assessment to your lecturer, all assignments must be
submitted in the correct assessment submission portal
• Make sure that you attach the attendance register in each of your portfolios, otherwise, you
will not pass the module
• Make sure that there is a school stamp on your mentor evaluation forms and attendance
register, otherwise, you will not pass the module.
• All the documents must have authentic signatures no cutting and pasting electronic
signatures will be accepted.
• Missing documentation will result in zero
• Academic integrity and dishonesty apply, and students will face disciplinary action if found to
not adhere to the rules.

Kindly remember that portfolios are the final examinations. Portfolios are not returned to students.
Study all the guidelines for online submissions and due dates.

For all other information regarding module TPF2601, you should still refer to Tutorial letter 101
as well as refer to all the announcements on the TPF2601 module site.

reports are needed if you conduct TP at two different schools

PLEASE ATTACH: You have to attach the placement confirmation which you received after you
submitted the DSAR form to the teaching practice office. This confirmation is sent to your
