No. RULE SINGULAR PLURAL
1 Most nouns form their plural by adding S to the BOOK BOOKS
singular.
2 Nouns ending in S, SH, CH, X, or Z, form their plural GLASS GLASSES
by adding ES. This ending is pronounced as a separate
syllable.
3 Nouns ending in Y preceded by a consonant form BABY BABIES
their plural by changing the Y to I and adding ES.
4 Nouns ending in F or FE form their plural by changing LEAF LEAVES
the F to V and adding ES.
Exceptions: roofs, safes, handkerchiefs, proofs, cuffs.
5 Nouns ending in O form their plural by adding ES to POTATO POTATOES
the singular.
Exceptions: pianos, trios, solos.
6 Some nouns have the same form in both numbers. SHEEP SHEEP
7 Some nouns are very irregular in plural. MAN MEN
