C - C House Rules
MONEY:
Silver standard.
DICE ROLLING:
Roll 3d6 six times, rerolling the “1”s once. Then assign the 6 values to the six
attributes in order. Swap two of your liking.
CLASSES:
The wizard and illusionist classes are separated by genre. The men can only be
wizards (called arcanists), and the women illusionists (called chimerists).
The chimerists have a tradition of a single female bodyguard and aide called
satelles, which is, despite much gossip and stories, actually just a very competent
and loyal henchwoman (and, if dead or discarded, can only be substituted after a
year or a character level have passed, whichever is higher).
The cure spells of the chimerists don’t really cure, but create an instantaneous
illusion of health, that lasts 1 turn/level.
The Eldrin mage class is like the cleric, but without the turning, the cleric’s
weapons allowance + the elven racial weapons, and can use armor up to chain. But,
if the armor is not Eldrin made, the mage cannot cast spells.
Eldrin “dispel magic” can dispel human magic, but not the opposite.
Everybody can, theoretically, turn undead, but they must present a proper holy
symbol and have some measure of faith (CK’s judgement).
SKILLS:
COMBAT:
Off-Hand: Shield - “Shield Shall Be Splintered” Rule, Zylarthen version. For fireball
type damage, the sacrifice of the shield grants a reroll.
Off-Hand: Two hands on weapon - 2 dice for damage; choose the higher one.
HP reroll every level. If the result is less than the actual HPs, they get +1.
First level: Full dice plus normal roll (e.g. 10+1d10 plus modifiers for the fighter).
After that, normal rolls (e.g. 2d10 plus modifiers for the fighter at 2 nd level).
“Zero Hit Points” Table like that from Zylarthen when characters reach 0 HPs.
Only one magical cure allowed per character per day, and it cures first the reserve
points of the character.
The characters with positive HPs recover, with rest, half their level per day, plus
their constitution bonus (if any) after seven days. After that, their reserve recovers
the same way.
