PRAYER FOR PROTECTION FROM CORONAVIRUS

R In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit.
All Amen
R Let us pray:
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of
salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of
the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’
pain, with steadfast faith.

You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.

We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at
Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this
moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to

the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took
our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring
us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

1
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of
God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test
– and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed
Virgin.

R In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit.
All Amen

prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
All I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and
sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in
my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to
do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most
grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all
the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to
pray for me to the Lord our God.

Ps May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins,

your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the
Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

THE LITURGY OF THE WORD

READING (2 Cor 11:18, 21-30)

R A reading from the second letter of Saint Paul to the
Corinthians
Brothers and sisters: Since many boast according to the
flesh, I too will boast. To my shame I say that we were too
weak! But what anyone dares to boast of (I am speaking in
foolishness) I also dare.

Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they children of Israel? So

am I. Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I. Are they
ministers of Christ? (I am talking like an insane person). I
am still more, with far greater labors, far more
imprisonments, far worse beatings, and numerous brushes
with death. Five times at the hands of the Jews I received
forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods,
4
once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I passed
a night and a day on the deep; on frequent journeys, in
dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from
my own race, dangers from Gentiles, dangers in the city,
dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among
false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many sleepless
nights, through hunger and thirst, through frequent
fastings, through cold and exposure.

And apart from these things, there is the daily pressure

upon me of my anxiety for all the churches. Who is weak,
and I am not weak? Who is led to sin, and I am not
indignant? If I must boast, I will boast of the things that
show my weakness.

R The word of the Lord.

All Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM (Ps 2:6-7, 8-9, 10-11ab)

R From all their distress God rescues the just.
 I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall be ever in
my mouth. Let my soul glory in the LORD; the lowly will
hear me and be glad.
 Glorify the LORD with me, let us together extol his name. I
sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me
from all my fears.

5
 Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, and your
faces may not blush with shame. When the poor one called
out, the LORD heard, and from all his distress he saved
him.

ACCLAMATION BEFORE THE GOSPEL (Jn 14:6)

Ps Alleluia, alleluia.
 Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the Kingdom of
heaven.

GOSPEL (Mt 6:19-23)

Ps The Lord be with you.
All And with your spirit.
Ps ✠ A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew
All Glory to you, O Lord.

Ps Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not store up for yourselves

treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and
thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break
in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your
heart be.

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your
whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad,

6
your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in
you is darkness, how great will the darkness be.”

Ps The Gospel of the Lord.

All Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
HOMILY

mercy. Therefore, let us ask for His help as we say:

all religious leaders throughout the world. Make them
instruments of Your fatherly love for all. We pray:

sick and give eternal rest to the dead. Protect us and bless
our health. We pray:
All Lord, hear our prayer.

refuse to be responsible, but serve justice and truth. We
pray:
All Lord, hear our prayer.
R4 Father, bless our families and friends, make them havens of
sincere love, solidarity and peace. Protect them from all
forms of division, jealousy and unfaithfulness. We pray:

7
All Lord, hear our prayer.
R5 For all of us gathered in today's Mass, Father, we so often
get tied to worldly materials and forget what truly matters.
Guide us so we may remember to collect treasures in
heaven for our eternal life. We pray:
All Lord, hear our prayer.
R6 Father, make us generous and caring people. Bless our
hands so we can use them correctly and we always open
our hearts to help and offer nice things to others in need.
We pray:
All Lord, hear our prayer
Ps Father, we pray for those intentions offered for the mass ...
and for our personal intentions. (Pause). We pray:
All Lord, hear our prayer.

Ps Father, all of those are our prayers. May You show Your
mercy on Your people. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
All Amen.

the earth and work of human hands, it will become for us
the bread of life.

Ps Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your
goodness we have received the wine we offer you: fruit of
the vine and work of human hands, it will become our
spiritual drink.
All Blessed be God for ever.

PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS

9

THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYER

Ps The Lord be with you.
All And with your spirit.

Ps Lift up your hearts.

All We lift them up to the Lord.

Ps Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All It is right and just.

Ps It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always
and everywhere to give thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty
and eternal God, through Christ our Lord.

In him you have been pleased to renew all things, giving us

all a share in his fullness. For though he was in the form of
God, he emptied himself and by the blood of his Cross
brought peace to all creation. Therefore he has been exalted

10
above all things, and to all who obey him, has become the
source of eternal salvation.

And so, with Angels and Archangels, with Thrones and

Dominions, and with all the hosts and Powers of heaven,
we sing the hymn of your glory, as without end we
acclaim:

All Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.Heaven and earth are
full of your glory.Hosanna in the highest.Blessed is he who
comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Ps You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.Make

holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,by sending down your
Spirit upon them like the dewfall,so that they may become
for usthe Body and + Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

At the time he was betrayedand entered willingly into his

Passion,he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,and
gave it to his disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,FOR THIS IS
MY BODY,WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

In a similar way, when supper was ended,he took the

chaliceand, once more giving thanks,he gave it to his
disciples, saying:
11
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT,FOR
THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,THE BLOOD OF
THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT,WHICH WILL
BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANYFOR THE
FORGIVENESS OF SINS.DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
Ps The mystery of faith.
All We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your
Resurrection until you come again.

Ps Therefore, as we celebratethe memorial of his Death and

Resurrection,we offer you, Lord, the Bread of life and the
Chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us
worthyto be in your presence and minister to you.Humbly
we praythat, partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ,we
may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.Remember,
Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world, and bring
her to the fullness of charity, together with Francis our Pope
and Robert our Bishop, and all the clergy.

Remember your servant N.,whom you have called (today)

from this world to yourself.Grant that he (she) who was
united with your Son in a death like his, may also be one
with him in his Resurrection.

12
Remember also our brothers and sisterswho have fallen
asleep in the hope of the resurrection, and all who have
died in your mercy:welcome them into the light of your
face.Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed
Virgin Mary, Mother of God,with blessed Joseph, her
Spouse (spaus)with the blessed Apostles, and all the Saints
who have pleased you throughout the ages,we may merit
to be coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you
through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Through him, and with him, and in him,O God, almighty

Father,in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is
yours,for ever and ever.
All Amen.

OUR FATHER
Ps At the Savior’s commandand formed by divine teaching,
we dare to say:

kingdom come, thy will be doneon earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Ps Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant

peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy,we may
be always free from sinand safe from all distress,as we
13
await the blessed hopeand the coming of our Savior, Jesus
Christ.
All For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yoursnow
and for ever.

SIGN OF PEACE
Ps Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles:Peace I leave
you, my peace I give you;look not on our sins, but on the
faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace and
unityin accordance with your will. Who live and reign for
ever and ever.

ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy
Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to

heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite
myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated
from You.
All Amen

bring about unity in your Church. Through Christ our
Lord.

CLOSING SONG
HERE, I AM LORD
I, the Lord of sea and sky
I have heard my people cry
All who dwell in dark and sin
My hand will save
I who made the stars of night
16
I will make their darkness bright
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord

Is it I, Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night
I will go, Lord
If You lead me
I will hold Your people in my heart

I, the Lord of wind and flame

I will tend the poor and lame
I will set a feast for them
My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide
'Til their hearts be satisfied
I will give my life to them
Whom shall I send?
