In the recently concluded Regional PRISAA held last June 3-5, 2023 at various venues in Region
XI, both high school and college athletes of Cor Jesu College, Inc. won championships that
propelled them to the PRISAA National Games which will be held in Zamboanga on July 12-
19, 2023. Their achievements brought pride and honor not just to Cor Jesu College, Inc. but to
the entire Davao Region as well.

However, the plight of any athlete, especially student athletes, is always besieged with financial
difficulties. Their desire to represent our school and Davao Region in the National Games is may
be hampered by their lack of financial capability. There is the cost of going to and coming from
Zamboanga City, staying in their respective venues for 10 days, securing their meals and other
unexpected expenses during the event. While the school has a budget for them, however limited
it is, the sheer number of our participants would impair our budget. It seems that majority of the
Davao Delegation come from Cor Jesu College, Inc. It is ironic that the outstanding performance
of our athletes may prove to be our own undoing.

It is for these reasons that we ask for financial help from you and your office. Please help us send
our athletes to these prestigious games, knowing that they will compete for the glory and honor
of the entire Davao Region. Please help them compete with confidence, knowing that they have
the support of their esteemed leaders.
