LUMBER
(1) 1" x 12" x 24" for A (3) 1/2" x 6" x 24" for F, G, H, I
(1) 1" x 8" x 72" for B, C, D, E (1) 1/2" x 3" x 24" for J

CUT LIST
(1) A piece: 1" x 12" cut to 23 3/4" (Actual: 3/4" x 11 1/4" x 23 3/4")
(1) B piece: 1" x 8" cut to 8" (Actual: 3/4" x 7 1/4" x 8")
(1) C piece: 1" x 8" x 13 1/2" at longest point (Actual: 3/4" x 7 1/4" x 13 1/2")
-Cut top at 30° angle to accommodate the roofline
(1) D piece: 1" x 8" cut to 23" (Actual: 3/4" x 7 1/4" x 23")
-Cut a 2 1/2" deep x 2" wide square in the back-right corner for stairs
(1) E piece: 1" x 8" x 14 1/2" at longest point; (Actual: 3/4" x 7 1/4" x 14 1/2")
-Cut top at 30° angle to accommodate roofline
-Cut a 2 1/2" wide x 4 3/4" tall rectangle doorway in the center
(1) F piece: 1/2" x 6" x 8" (Actual: 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 8")
(1) G piece: 1/2" x 6" x 10" at longest point (Actual: 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 10")
-Cut top at 30° angle to accommodate roofline
(1) H piece: 1/2" x 6" x 6 3/4" (Actual: 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 6 3/4")
(1) I piece: 1/2" x 6" x 23 3/4" (Actual: 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 23 3/4")
(1) J piece: 1/2" x 3" x 23 3/4" (Actual: 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 23 3/4")

TOOLS & MATERIALS


Saw Nail gun/hammer and nails Fine-grit sandpaper
KregJig K4 (14) 1 1/4" pocket hole screws Safety equipment
Wood glue Assorted bar clamps Jigsaw
Wood filler Optional: Plywood backing Drill and bits

STEP 1.
Cut pieces and drill pocket holes:
(3) on the bottom, inside of the B piece
(3) on the top, inside of the B piece
(3) on the bottom, inside of the B piece
(3) on the bottom, right side of the D piece
(2) on the bottom, inside of the E piece
The roof is created by edge-gluing and clamping pieces I and J together. Sand
each piece by hand using fine-grit sandpaper to break down rough edges and
prepare the surface for finishing.

STEP 2.
Begin by attaching the B and C pieces to the A piece. B and C should be flush
with the back of A, and pocket holes should be facing in. Double check your C
piece to make sure you've positioned it with the angle going the right way!

STEP 3.
Attach the D piece with the stairwell opening in the back-right corner. Drill up
through the B piece pocket holes into the D piece first. Then level D and attach
it to C using the pocket holes in the bottom of the D piece.

STEP 4.
Add the E piece, the second-floor roof support, using the two pocket holes.
Make sure the angled end is facing the right way.

STEP 5.
Add the F, G, and H divider pieces using wood glue and nails.

STEP 6.
Add the roof using wood glue and nails.
