Line Graph
Line Graph
The line graph displays the percentage distribution of the population of Chile
across different age groups during the years 1975-2035. Overall, it is evident
to see that the largest proportion of the population falls within the age range
of 15-64, conversely, the age range of 65 and over holds the smallest
population.
Upon closer examination of the graph, we can see that from 1975 to 2015,
both the 15-64 age group and the 15 and above group rose quickly. The
former increased from 50% to a staggering 70%, while the latter witnessed a
jump from a mere 5% to a notable 10%. Meanwhile, the age group 0-14 went
down significantly, from a whopping 40% to a modest 20%.
From the year 2015 to 2035, the age group 0-14 and 15-64 are expected to
experience a little dip in their percentages. The former will fall down from
20% to approximately 15% and the latter will decline from 70% to a still
respectable 60%. Whereas, the age group 65 and above is projected to
continue its ascent and it will peak at 15% in 2035.
