Look at the photographs. First, say verbs and nouns that are related to each picture. Then say four sentences about
each picture. Picture 1 is an example for you.

Example:
A woman is talking on the phone.
The woman on the phone seems upset.
There are four more people in the office.
Tip! Make sentences about a) the activity , b) the general situation
They are working on their computers.
c) spatial relationships (use prepositions of place)

Pre-task 1 Here are some things about TOEIC two skills: Listening and Reading - Part 1: Photographs
that you should bear in mind.

 Part 1 Photographs contains 6 questions.

 Look at the photograph as quickly as possible before listening to the four
choices. Skim the picture.
 Think of words (nouns and verbs) connected to what you see in the photographs.
 Try to predict possible statements connected to what you see. Pay attention to
the people, their feelings, what they are doing, the place, objects you see, the
weather, animals, etc.
 Choose only one answer for each picture.
 You will hear each statement only once. Do not get distracted.
 Choose your answer and get ready to look at the next photograph.

Task • You will see some photos representing scenes from everyday life.
• For each picture you will see on the screen, you will hear four short statements.
(practice) • Look at each picture and choose the statement that best describes what you see in the
picture. You will hear each recording only once, so it is important to remain focused.
• Write your answers on a separate piece of paper. You have 5 minutes.

Choose any photograph you have (or find on the internet) and create as many true
English sentences as possible about it .

Write stories about things happening around you. Use a variety of noun and verbs.
Describe actions, the general situation and spatial relationships.

3 minutes Find a nice picture. Write three sentences about it. Change nouns and verbs in two of
them to make them distractors. Test a classmate, a relative or a friend.
