II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

"EcoThreads, Upcycled Crafts, & Sustainable Sacks: Crafting a Greener Future and Empowering
Livelihoods" is a creative and sustainable initiative aimed at reducing environmental impact while
empowering communities. The project collects discarded materials like old clothes, fabric scraps, and
other reusable items to create stylish and functional bags. By repurposing these materials, we contribute
to the reduction of single-use plastic bags and other harmful pollutants that endanger our ecosystems.
Through this project, we focus on crafting eco-friendly bags made from recycled materials, emphasizing
the concept of "reduce, reuse, and recycle." By engaging people in the creative process, we promote
environmental awareness and provide income-generating opportunities to individuals seeking sustainable
livelihoods.

The person who conducted the project wants to accomplish the task, finish the mission, and fulfill
the goals and objectives. Aside from that, the person who proposed wants good feedback that the
proposal is an efficient and beneficial environmental and recreational activity program for those who
would benefit from it. The person who comes up with the idea for the project wants the project's
beneficiaries to gain civic consciousness, civic responsibility, and a more well-rounded understanding of
environmental concerns. The goal is to make the beneficiaries become productive members of society and
live in a worry-free and environmentally friendly that would inspire everyone to contribute significantly to
the welfare of the community and the world. Through this project, we hope to inspire a global movement
towards a greener and more socially responsible world. This effort will convince people that a green
revolution is the best revolution for the people of today and tomorrow.

III. PROJECT RATIONALE

The project rationale for crafting eco-friendly bags made from recycled materials in Pandacan,
Manila, is driven by the need to address environmental concerns, promote recreational activities, and
empower livelihoods in the community. Pandacan faces significant environmental challenges, including
plastic pollution and improper waste disposal. By conducting this project on crafting eco-friendly bags
made from recycled materials, we provide a practical solution to reduce plastic waste and promote a more
sustainable approach to waste management. Utilizing recycled materials for bag production reduces the
demand for new resources, minimizes plastic pollution, and contributes to a cleaner and healthier
environment.

In addition, supporting this rationale is evidence of Pandacan's potential for recreational activities.
The district has several parks, open spaces, and recreational areas that can be enhanced by promoting
recycled bags. Educating the community on the benefits of creating and using these bags encourages
responsible and sustainable recreation while reducing the environmental footprint of single-use plastic
bags. Furthermore, educating on crafting eco-friendly bags made from recycled materials in Pandacan
empowers livelihoods and promotes economic opportunities. The community is known for its skilled
artisans and craftsmen. By providing training and resources for recycled bag production, we tap into their
talents and create avenues for sustainable entrepreneurship. And this improves livelihoods and fosters a
sense of pride and self-sufficiency within the community. Also, the project supports the local economy by
promoting the use of locally sourced and recycled materials. We create value from items that would have
otherwise been wasted by utilizing discarded fabrics, old clothes, and other materials. This local sourcing
of materials contributes to the circular economy, reduces reliance on imports, and supports local
businesses and suppliers.

In conclusion, conducting this project on crafting eco-friendly bags made from recycled materials
in Pandacan, Manila, is crucial due to the district's plastic pollution challenges, high plastic bag
consumption, and the potential for community engagement and education. The evidence of plastic
pollution, the potential for recreational enhancement, and the presence of skilled artisans support the
