a. Course Description
The course introduces the students to the impact of human activities on the environment; consequences of environmental modification as a result of human activity. There is an urgent need for environmental
education and this program provides one way in which students can become aware of the interactions of people and their environment. This course is an exploration into the science that directly affects us all on a
daily basis, and that will likely increase in its significance to us with time. You will be introduced to the scientific study of our environment, as well as the technological, social, political and economic challenges
required for the understanding and critical examination of related issues.
