Republic of the Philippines Department of Education REGION VIII - EASTERN VISAYAS June 16, 2023 REGIONAL MEMORANDUM No. G04 992023 RESULTS OF THE 2023 REGIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE To: — Schools Division Superintendents Regional Office Division Chiefs All Others Concerned 1, This Office, through the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD), announces the official results of the individual, group, and school paper contests during the 2023 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held in the Municipality of Dolores, Eastern Samar. 2. The attached results include the top five winners of all the contest categories including those under the school paper contests except for TV Script Writing and Broadcasting which included only the top 3 teams. The first-place winner in the individual contests and the champion teams in the group contests shall be the Region’s official entries to the 2023 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) Likewise, the top-five winning school papers shall also qualify for the said national competition. If an NSPC qualifier cannot participate, the next in rank shall automatically become the official entry to the contest or event. 3. In addition to the said contests, the winners in the Search for the Most Outstanding School Paper Advisers and Most Outstanding Campus Journalists in both the elementary and secondary levels are also indicated. 4. To make room for possible changes, the Schools Division Offices (SDOs} are directed to check whether or not their qualifiers could confirm their attendance so that replacements can be identified early and an official endorsement signed by the Schools Division Superintendent relative to their participation can be accomplished and sent to clmd.region8@deped.gov.ph not later than June 30, 2023. 5. __ In view of the successful conduct and hosting of the event which featured an efficient collaboration among partners, this Office, expresses its gratitude and commendation to the Division of Eastern Samar and the Municipality of Dolores, Fastern Samar including the district and provincial offices and other government agencies such as the Philippine National Police and the Bureau of Fire Protection which worked side-by-side to support the activity. 6.
