III Answer the following questions:

Q1. What did King Krishnadev Raya give to each courtier? What did he
want them to do?
Ans – King Krishnadev Raya gave a bag containing fifty gold coins to each
courtier. He wanted them to buy things with those gold coins within a week.
Q2. What was the King’s condition?
Ans – The King’s condition was that the courtiers had to see his face every
time before they spend a gold coin.
Q3. Why were the courtiers puzzled?
Ans – The courtiers were puzzled because they couldn’t see the King’s
face in the market. Therefore, they were unable to spend the gold coins.
Q4. How did Tenalirama fulfil the King’s condition??
Ans – Tenalirama had seen the King’s face on the gold coin each time
before spending it. In this way, he fulfilled the King’s condition.
Q5. What did Tenalirama buy for himself?
Ans – Tenalirama bought a new dhoti, silk kurta, a beautiful scarf and a
shining ring for himself.
