Duplex Stainless WPS

This welding procedure specification qualifies GTAW and SMAW welding of groove and fillet joints in austenitic stainless steels P8 to P10H in all positions. Filler metals include ER309LMo or ER309(L) for GTAW and E309Mol-15/16/17 or E309(L)-15/16/17 for SMAW. Welding parameters such as current, voltage, and travel speed are provided for each filler metal diameter. No preheat or post weld heat treatment is required.

Welding procedures, which specify impact testing, have only been accepted in accordance with A.S.M.E.
Section IX only. Other A.S.M.E. Code Sections may have additional requirements respecting impact testing.
