1. Ms. Wiggins is organizing a fieldtrip for 150 students plus 10


teachers. If a school bus can hold 20 passengers, how many
school buses does Ms. Wiggins need?

2. Mrs. Peterson can make 12 apple pies and 4 pans of cinnamon


rolls in an hour. If she continues to work for 3 hours, how many
apple pies can she make?

3. I run 10 kilometers and do 50 push-ups a day. How


many kilometers do I run in 30 days?

4. Elliot’s order for the coffee shop has arrived. There are 12 boxes
of coffee beans and 8 boxes of creamers. Each box of coffee
contains 10 packages. How many packages of coffee beans
are there?

5. Mrs. Wilson’s existing plant rack can hold up to 21 plants. She


buys 2 additional plant racks and 2 sacks of fertilizer. How many
plants can now be displayed on her racks altogether?

6. Mrs. Peterson baked 360 blueberry cheesecakes. Each box can


hold 6 blueberry cheesecakes.
a.) How many boxes will she need?
b.) If each box needs 2 feet of ribbon lace for decoration, how
many feet of ribbon lace will she need?

Answers

1. 150 + 10 = 160
There was a total of 160 persons/passengers.

160 ÷ 20 = 8
Ms. Wiggins needs 8 buses.

2. 12 x 3 = 36
Mrs. Peterson can bake 36 apple pies in 3 hours.

3. 10 x 30 = 300
I can run 300 kilometers in 30 days.

4. 12 x 10 = 120
There are 120 packages of coffee beans.

5. 3 x 21 = 63
63 plants can now be displayed on her racks altogether.

6. 360 ÷ 6 = 60
2 x 60 = 120
Mrs. Peterson will need 60 boxes for the blueberry cheesecakes and
120 feet of ribbon lace.
