on was referred for assessment of Sleep Disordered
Breathing.

Sleep study recording showed the following results:

● Recorded time of 7 hours and 59 minutes

● Respiratory Disturbance Index (number of Apneas and Hypopneas per hour Sleep)
was 60.6 /hour Sleep, normal values are up to 9.3 /hour.
● Respiratory events were obstructive in nature, associated with drop in oxygen
saturation.
● Oximetry monitoring showed desaturation index of 51.9 /hour, average reading of
SpO2 during the night was 81.0 % reaching a minimum of 75.0 %.
● Monitoring of bilateral tibialis for periodic limb movements is clinically insignificant.
● Normal sinus rhythm was noted.

Conclusion:
This recording confirms the diagnosis of Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Recommendations:
● bilevel positive airway pressure following titration (BIPAP ST)
● Reinforce sleep hygiene and weight loss measures .
● Arterial Blood Gas analysis.
● Follow up after 6 months .
