Psalm 115:3 - But our God is in heaven; He does Psalm 139:7-12 - David said that God's presence couldn't
whatever He pleases. be eluded through space (verse 8), speed (verse 9), or
darkness verse 12). In other words, nothing in the universe
can hide a person from God.
DEFINING THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Genesis 1:1 (NIV): "In the beginning, God created the heavens
and the earth."

The concept of the Kingdom is woven throughout the pages of
Scripture, revealing God's intention to establish His rule over all
creation

• Daniel 4:3 (NIV) - "How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is
an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation.“
o God's reign is not temporary or fleeting but is rooted in His unchanging nature and
everlasting sovereignty.
• Isaiah 9:7 (NIV) - "Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.“
o The reign of a divine King, descendant of David, who will establish and uphold the

THE KING OF THE KINGDOM
• The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, is the King of God’s
kingdom.
Rev. 19:16
“And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF
LORDS”
• God the Son, who came to earth, took on human flesh and even humbled himself to
the point of dying the death of a criminal, is the one whom the Father has deemed to
give a name above all other names.
John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only
Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Philippians 2:9-11
9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10. That at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
THE KING OF THE KINGDOM
• Every person to ever live will one day bow their knee to him and acknowledge his
place of authority.
Philippians 2:10-11

This is our King! And it is he who will usher in the kingdom of God into its
full reality.
THE NATURE OF THIS KINGDOM
What is it that defines the Kingdom of God?
1. Righteousness
2. Peace
3. Joy

✓ He wants you to be an ambassador for heaven.
✓ We are chosen people, royal priesthood, and peculiar in nature.
