• Provides the foundation of our understanding of the Kingdom of


God

• Directs our attention to the essential pursuit of seeking God’s


Kingdom above all else.

• When we prioritize aligning ourselves with God's reign and


righteousness, we open ourselves up to experiencing the
abundant blessings and provision that flow from His divine
sovereignty.
INTRODUCTION
• The Kingdom of God is not merely a theological concept
or a distant reality.

• It is a present reality in which God's authority and will are


established.
DEFINING THE KINGDOM OF GOD
• The Kingdom of God refers to the realm where God reigns
supremely and His will is established.
• It is not confined to a physical location but encompasses both the
spiritual and earthly dimensions.

Psalm 115:3 - But our God is in heaven; He does Psalm 139:7-12 - David said that God's presence couldn't
whatever He pleases. be eluded through space (verse 8), speed (verse 9), or
darkness verse 12). In other words, nothing in the universe
can hide a person from God.
DEFINING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Genesis 1:1 (NIV): "In the beginning, God created the heavens
and the earth."
BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE KINGDOM
The concept of the Kingdom is woven throughout the pages of
Scripture, revealing God's intention to establish His rule over all
creation
BIBLE REFERENCES
• Daniel 4:3 (NIV) - "How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is
an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation.“

o A kingdom that surpasses time and remains steadfast throughout generations.

o God's reign is not temporary or fleeting but is rooted in His unchanging nature and
everlasting sovereignty.

• Isaiah 9:7 (NIV) - "Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.“

o A government marked by peace, justice, and righteousness.

o The reign of a divine King, descendant of David, who will establish and uphold the
Kingdom with unwavering justice and righteousness.
THE KING OF THE KINGDOM
• The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, is the King of God’s
kingdom.
Rev. 19:16
“And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF
LORDS”

• God the Son, who came to earth, took on human flesh and even humbled himself to
the point of dying the death of a criminal, is the one whom the Father has deemed to
give a name above all other names.
John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only
Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Philippians 2:9-11
9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10. That at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
THE KING OF THE KINGDOM
• Every person to ever live will one day bow their knee to him and acknowledge his
place of authority.
Philippians 2:10-11
10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under
the earth; 11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

• Receive him as your Lord and savior and


gain eternal life.

• Or come before him on judgment day.


Romans 10:9-10
9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

THE KING OF THE KINGDOM
Our King is truly glorious! He graciously leads us like a good shepherd,
caring for our needs and guiding us, pursuing us when we stray from his
sheepfold, leading us to green pastures. He is gentle and lowly. His burden
is easy, and his yoke is light.

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV


Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is
light.
THE KING OF THE KINGDOM
Psalm 24:7-10

7. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and
the King of glory shall come in.

8. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty
in battle.

9. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and
the King of glory shall come in.

10. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.
Selah.

This is our King! And it is he who will usher in the kingdom of God into its
full reality.
THE NATURE OF THIS KINGDOM
What is it that defines the Kingdom of God?

Romans 14:17 KJV


“for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and
peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

Three defining factors of this Kingdom:

1. Righteousness
2. Peace
3. Joy
FINAL WORD
✓ We are members of the Kingdom
✓ Jesus believes in you, and He believes in the church.
✓ He wants you to be an ambassador for heaven.
✓ We are chosen people, royal priesthood, and peculiar in nature.

2 Corinthians 5:20
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We
implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

1 Peter 2:9 KJV


“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should
shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:”

Revelation 1:6 KJV


“and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever
and ever. Amen.”
PRAYER
Father, make me an ambassador
of heaven and grant me the grace
to be worthy of your Kingdom in
Jesus name!
