General Wave Properties 3 MS

1. Sound waves travel slower through steel than air. The time taken for a sound wave to travel 5128m through steel is 0.039s. 2. As a sound wave passes from air into a denser medium like steel, its speed reduces and wavelength reduces proportionally so its frequency remains the same. The frequency of a sound wave in steel is calculated to be 1.5Hz. 3. Light rays reflect off a plane mirror according to the law of reflection. Three light rays are reflected correctly by the candidate's plane mirror.
