Release notes describe the updates available in Enterprise Provisioner 1.05.00.0136.

2. Installation
2.1. System Requirements for installing the Enterprise Provisioner
Since it also comes along with Staging Hub Server installation, the system requirements for
Staging Hub Server has been considered as reference point. Standalone Enterprise
Provisioner may require less than these specifications in terms of RAM/Disk Space, etc.

Processor: ●2 GHz is recommended for optimum performance

Memory / RAM: ●4 GB is required

Disk Space:
● 300 MB is required for Staging Hub Server

● Additional space required for pre-requisite software.

Other Requirements:

● .NET Framework v3.5 SP1 and v4 Full install are both required
Operating System: ● Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate (32 or 64-bit)

● Windows 8.1 Pro and Enterprise (32 or 64-bit)

● Windows 10 (32 or 64-bit)

● Windows Server 2008 Enterprise

● Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP1

● Windows Server 2012

● Windows Server 2016

2.2. To Install
Download and run the installation file (EP_Installer.msi). The current version is available
at https://hsmftp.honeywell.com/ under Software->Software and Tools->Device
Management->Enterprise Provisioner->Current
Follow the on-screen instructions to verify requirements and complete the installation.

4. Settings Packages

Along with Enterprise Provisioner installer only latest Maintenance Release (MR) settings
packages are included. Any other previous MR, application specific settings package can
be obtained from HSM FTP site as a standalone package for installation. Standalone package
installation will automatically include settings in Enterprise Provisioner which can be
selected through settings package drop down menu.
4.1. Notation of Settings Packages
The following is the naming convention and notation used for the Settings Packages.

5. New Functionality Available

The following new functionality has been included in the current release of Enterprise
Provisioner version 1.05.00.0136

• HTTPS secure connection and authentication between Enterprise Provisioner and device

communication to overcome man-in-the-middle attacks.

• Ability to see settings changes, fields in non-default state

• Ability to edit multi-line string values

• Standalone Settings Packages for Android Oreo MR 7/8, Android Nougat MR 18/19, Android
Pie, Honeywell Launcher, Enterprise Browser.

• Redesign of context sensitive help (e.g. dictionary style instead of individual html files)

• Modified tab to see modified fields

• View settings xml for an individual field

• Certificate support in Provisioning tab

• Highlighted search results


6. Best Practices

6.1. Provisioning Mode


Ensure that device side Provisioning Mode is ON while scanning the configuration barcode
generated by Enterprise Provisioner.

6.2. Security Manual Reading


Reviewing the Enterprise Provisioner and Staging hub Server Security and Network guide
mentioned at Section 3 is strongly recommended.

7. Issues Fixed In This Version


The following is the list of defects fixed in this current version of 1.05.00.0136

• The Serial Port settings are not being reflected when the settings bundle is dragged and

dropped on to the VM1A device ,but happening when configured manually

in the device.

• Not able to configure the newly added settings like "VPNUserName" through the settings
bundle Cx75Settings_8x.01.09 - Phoenix

• The Newly added settings for MR09 -Phoenix has no Default values in the Enterprise

provisioner

• Browse option should be available to browse the certificate in the newly

added settings like “IPSecServerCertificate"

• Help files for the newly added settings should be modified as per the

Enterprise Provisioner

• There are no field validations for the newly added settings in the Enterprise

provisioner

• Touch panel section is listed twice in HON660 [85-86].00.07 package

• The changes in the Datacollection service.xml are not being saved,even

when configured manually in the EZConfig Editor

• "RSSI_penalize_threshold" and "RSSI_boost_threshold" values are swapped while

configuring in the device through Provisioner barcode

• Range slider input does not allow a value below the range's minimum value
• Range slider input does not allow a value below the range's minimum value for preferred
symbology timeout

8. Release History
In general Staging Hub Server internally has Enterprise Provisioner. Traditionally at HSM
FTP site, EP present in Staging Hub Server release candidate is made available as standalone
EP release.

Example: Previous release of EP 1.04.05.0039 is part of Staging Hub Server 5.03.06.0251 and EP
1.03.00.0001 is part of Staging Hub Server 5.02.00.0286.
