EMBF Oral Test

1. Myself

 Good Morning! First of all, may I introduce myself. I’m Lai Yee Oo.
 I graduated from the East Yangon University with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in
Mathematics.
 While attending university, I joined the Network Engineering Diploma opened by National
Management Degree College.
 Now I've been working as a Manager in Card Section, ICT Department at SME-Development
Bank for 2 years.

2. Experience

 Currently, I've been working as a Card Section Head at SME-Development Bank for 2 years.

Past Experience

 I also have almost 4 years of experience as a Deputy Manager in Fintech and Digital Department
at uab bank and my duties are product functional testing and operational support.
 I had experience in Myanmar Payment Union for almost 5 years as a Dispute & Settlement
section head.

3. Responsibilities

 As a Card Section Head, I'm responsible for managing all sectors of Card Section like Card
Operations, Business and New Card Project.
 I am coordinating business and technical development with both external vendors and internal
departments to complete my project and card operations process properly.
 I manage the entire card section with my 6 team members.

4. Why you leave previous job?


 As my long-term goal is to be someone who can lead the entire Card Payment and Digital
Banking Operation Team.
 So, I am trying to gain experience in both the card and digital payment areas.

5. Why do you want to attend EMBF?

May I explain the reason to attend the EMBF Program,

 In order to do the best in my career with the management, banking and financial knowledge
gaining from EMBF program.
 I believe the knowledge that will be taught in this program will help me to become a qualified
professional in my workplace
 So, I decided to attend EMBF.

6. After getting EMBF degree, what about your future plan?

 As I am a motivated person to complete my education with master degree, after getting EMBF
Degree, I hope to make better strategy and decision in my workplace and I hope to be able to
properly manage the responsibilities given by the organization with my professional skills and to
reach senior management level in banking industry.
 I will be able to applied my best of the theoretical and practical knowledge gained from the
EMBF program in my organization.

7. Company Profile

 SME-Development Bank is a bank with over 27 years of experience.


 our bank main objective is to develop the country economic by giving financing service to local
SMEs sector.
 Our management team is moving forward to implement Digital Banking System this year.
 25 Branch, our bank has over 10 loan, JICA 5.5, SME CFP Loan, Business Loan, Staff Loan, New –
Baby Loan, ME loan, auto loan.
8. Among the EMBF subjects which subject do you like best? Why?

 Among the EMBF subjects I most prefer Marketing Financial Products Subject. Because I need to
understand not only successfully complete a project within the time line, but also to understand
the marketing financial products and services offered by the bank.

9. How do you understand the purpose of EMBF Program?

 As far as I understand, one of the objectives of EMBF program is to develop and understanding
of the banking operations and environment.

10. What will be your biggest challenge for attending EMBF Program?

 Be honest, currently struggling to balance work and family in my daily life


 Now, if I get the opportunity to attend this course, I will have to try to be balance work, family
and Master Degree..

11. Why should we choose you for EMBF program?

 Firstly, As I mention above, I am a motivated person to complete my education with master


degree.
 As I am currently working in the banking industry, I will be able to applied my best of the
theoretical and practical knowledge gained from the EMBF program in my organization, so
please consider me to attend EMBF program.
