I have been investing in learning how to run and grow a business since I started my business at
age 23. And there’s always more to learn.
It’s easier said than done, I know. In my journey, I have had to battle imposter syndrome and self
doubt and I can bet that you’ve likely struggled with those little jerks too. Am I right?
These unwelcome companions hold back our growth. I would sabotage sales calls, procrastinate
sending quotes, and add loads of value on social media without ever asking people to work with
me in a paid capacity. The irony is, this imposter syndrome was not only holding me back from
growing my business, it was also stopping me from serving the people I really wanted to help.
But the thing is, when perfection is the standard and anything less is considered failure, you will quickly find
yourself stuck and unable to move forward for fear of making a mistake.
You need to recognise that mistakes and missteps are part of the process.
Growth is a process.
If you want to hit your big scary revenue goal and build your dream business, you need
understand that perfection is just ego in disguise and it does not serve you or your business.
Excellence should be the goal.
