[INTRODUCTION]

CT.: Julie Foudy once said and I quote, “Sports build good habits, confidence, and discipline. They
make players into community leaders and teach them how to strive for a goal, handle mistakes, and
cherish growth opportunities. “Good morning, Edgarians! Welcome to Intramurals 2023 bearing the
theme:

Both: “Court Chaos: Compete, Conquer, Celebrate”.

[PRAYER/NATIONAL ANTHEM]

Ejay: To formally start our opening program, let us all invoke ourselves for the invocation to be led
by Jaden Villaluz, the secretary of Sports Club. After which, let us remain standing for the singing of
the Philippine National Anthem to be conducted by Darren Faye Manera, Grade 11 SSLG
Representative.

[OPENING REMARKS/SPORTS COORDINATOR MESSAGE]

CM: It is indeed a good way to start our day rekindling our patriotism and commitment to God,
right?

Ejay: Indeed, Christine Mae. To welcome us all, let us welcome our Sports Club President, James
Ryan Arcangel, in his Opening Remarks.

CT: Thank you so much, Ryan for your warm welcome. Are you all excited? Alright! But before that,
let us lend our ears to our Sports Coordinator to tell us what to look forward to in this 3-day
momentous event. Please welcome, Mrs. Bernadeth G. Monte!

[ARNIS EXHIBITION]

CM: Thank you, ma’am! Lt. Edgar Foz National High School has talented students in the field of Arnis,
a national martial arts in the Philippines. To showcase their talents, let us all witness an Arnis
Exhibition from selected arnisadores.

[TORCH LIGHTING]

CT: Now, to set ablaze the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship, let us now witness the lighting
of the symbolic flame by Kaycee Ambrocio, a Bronze Medalist for the Arnis-Anyo Doble Baston last
Regional Meet 2023.

CM: The torch-lighting ceremony links the modern games with ancient Greece conveying a sense of
continuity and an air of respectability and authority. It also represents a sacred truce and the flame
in the cauldron would burn throughout the games as a sign of purity, reason and peace.
[SCHOOL HEAD’S MESSAGE]

Ejay: At this juncture, let us all welcome with a reverberating sound of applause, our ever-dynamic
school head, Mrs. Nelia B. Reyes, for her message.

[FEARLESS INTRODUCTION/CHEERS AND YELLS]

CM: Alright! And to further intensify each and everyone’s grit let us hear the participating teams’
fearless introduction by their energetic advisers to be followed by their respective cheers and yells.
To start with, may we have the Gr. 12 Adviser, Mr. Stephen Guzon.

Next, may we have/may we call on:

CT: After that, everyone is already on the hype! At this moment, let us now brace ourselves to one of
this event’s highlights – the Search for Mr. and Miss Sportsfest 2023! You are now about to witness
the Muses and Escorts from the different classes.

Ejay: Thank you, candidates! While we are waiting for the results, may we call in once again, James
Ryan Arcangel, to lead the Pledge of Players.

[AWARDING OF MR. AND MISS INTRAMS]

CM: Now, we have come to the peak of our competition. The coronation of Mr. & Ms. Sportsfest
2023! May I now call again, Mrs. Bernadeth Monte, our Sports Coordinator, to announce the
winners.

[CLOSING REMARKS]
CT: Before we have our lunch break, allow us to leave some words to live by:
“It is not all about winning but on how you played the game”
