Course-Specific Tutoring
BYU-Idaho also offers course-specific tutoring. This type of tutoring is specific to the course that you are
enrolled in. To access this type of tutoring, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Go to iplan.byui.edu
2. Select “BYUI Login” as shown below:

3. Select “Tutoring” as show below:

4. Select “Get a Tutor” as shown below:

5. You will now see a list of courses you are currently enrolled in. Select the course for which you are
needing tutoring assistance:
6. Select “Online Tutoring Center” as shown below:

7. Search for available times: Make sure to scroll all the way down to see all the openings. Each time
slot will have a logo indicating the type of tutoring that is offered (see picture below).
Here is a brief description of each tutoring type:

One-to-One: This is an individual appointment that you will need to click on, select the reason, and
then select “Create an Appointment”. You will also see the online tutor’s zoom address and contact
information when scheduling the appointment. To attend the appointment, you will need to enter
the tutor’s zoom address in the search bar of your browser at the time of the scheduled
appointment.
Group: Group appts are scheduled in the same way as One-to-One appointments. The difference in
group appointments is that there will be a small group of students meeting with the tutor at the
same appointment. This provides an opportunity for the group to work together while being led by a
tutor.
Drop-In Labs: No appointment is needed for this type of tutoring. During the time block listed on the
calendar, the online tutor is available to help students. You can access drop-in tutoring by clicking on
the time slot in the calendar, highlighting the zoom address location, and then copying and pasting
this into your web browser.
