**Manifesto for Editor in Chief II**
My name is Benedict Edaigbini and | am a 200 level medicine
student. | am passionate about writing, editing and
publishing quality content for BHUMSA..
As the editor in chief II, | will perform the following duties
according to the constitution, section 2, subsection 2:
- | will assist the editor in chief in all his duties at the
preclinical arm, such as overseeing the editorial process,
ensuring adherence to editorial standards and policies,
managing the editorial team and budget, liaising with
external stakeholders and partners, and producing and
distributing the final products.
- | will perform any other duty as assigned to me by the
president, such as representing BHUMSA at relevant events
and forums, supporting other BHUMSA officials and
committees, and participating in BHUMSA decision-making
and planning.
- | will head the preclinical editorial board, which is
composed of representatives from each class in the
preclinical arm. | will coordinate and supervise the work of
the board members, who are responsible for collecting,
editing and submitting content from their respective classes.
| will also ensure that the board members receive adequate
training and feedback on their performance.
- | will work with other officials to make the best experience
in BHUMSA for everyone. | will collaborate with the editor in
chief and others to create engaging and informative content
for BHUMSA members and the general public. | will also seek
to promote BHUMSA's vision, mission and values through my
editorial work.
| believe that | have the skills and experience to perform this
role effectively and efficiently. Here are some of the reasons
why | think | am qualified for this position:
- | have a passion for writing and editing. | have been writing
articles and essays since my secondary school days, and |
have also edited and proofread various documents and
publications for my friends and colleagues, as well as forsome online platforms.
- | have a keen interest in medical journalism and research. |
have been following the latest developments and trends in
he field of medicine, both locally and globally. | have also
participated in some research projects, where | have
presented my findings and learned from others.
- | have a good knowledge of digital media and technology. |
am proficient in using various software and applications for
creating, editing, and publishing content online. | am also
amiliar with social media platforms and how to use them
effectively for promoting and disseminating our newsletter.
- | have a strong sense of teamwork and leadership. | have
been involved in several clubs and societies, where | have
held different positions and roles. | have learned how to work
with others, delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and motivate
people. | have also learned how to lead by example, inspire
others, and take responsibility.
he previous editor in chief Il and PRO II worked hand in hand
to keep the BhUMSA notice board lively with information and
un facts all through the session. This is something that has
proven to be efficient in entertaining and Informing us and it
is also part of my plans for BHUMSA as editor in chief II
believe that | have the skills, experience and enthusiasm to
be an effective editor in chief Il. | am committed to
excellence, innovation and teamwork. | am also open to
earning new things and improving myself. If elected, | will
work hard to serve BHUMSA and its members with integrity,
professionalism and creativity.
