How to use AxxonNext with Hikvision Device

3. Configuration

1. Starting AxxonNext software and login:

Click ‘Run AxxonNext’, then a launch and authorization window will appear.

Enter your user name & password and click ‘Connect’. If authorization is successful,

the user interface will displayed.

2. Add device:

There are two ways to adding new device to system:

● Use IP Device Discovery Wizard:

Click ‘Add device’, then click ‘Search’. You may add any device form the searching

result. When adding a device, there are some additional info you can set immediately

like device ID/Name/Archive/recording.

● Manually add device:

If the device is not include in the searching result, it is also support to add a device

manually.
Please notice, the IP device are color-coded based on the status of the device and three

modes are available for adding device configuration (with the default setting/ keep

current setting/ custom setting) .

3. Creating Archive:

New archive can be placed to local disks or on network disks. If you need to save

archive on the local disk, please go to 'Archive' tab, click ‘Create’ and set the archive

type & volumes, click ‘Apply’.

After the new archive section is created, you can select which cameras will saving

archive to this new archive section.

4. Create and Configure layouts:

AxxonNext support to create and configure custom layouts.

To create a new layout, click the layout button on the left top corner and choose layout

type based on your needs.

Each layout support to set for a specific purpose like Events/ Status/ Statistics/ Dialog/

Web.

5. Create and Configure Detection Tools:

AxxonNext support several types of detection tools to process incoming data, such like

situation analysis detection tools/ facial recognition tools/ automatic number plate

recognition tool/ video & audio analytics detection tools/ cameras’ embedded

detection tools.

In Detection Tools tab, you can create and configure a detection tool, click ‘Create’ in

the camera’s object tree and choose a detection tool.

● Motion Detection:

Create ‘Motion detection’, configured all parameters properly.

In Layout Event Board, the recently alarm notifications will show.

For special integration products like ANPR & Thermal camera, after all configuration

has been properly settled, the smart function testing results will as follows.

● ANPR (license plate recognition):

Create ‘License Plate Recognition’ & ‘Embedded LPR detection’, configured all

parameters properly.
In Layout Event Board, the recently alarm notifications will shown.
In archive searching mode, you can search archives by adding multiple conditions
● Thermal object tracking (metadata):

Create ’Object Tracker’, configured all parameters properly. The object detection

frame and the movement track will be displayed on the preview.

In archive searching mode, you can search archives by adding multiple conditions
