Angles Worksheets Grade 5

1. Name the given angles.

2. State if the given angles are acute, obtuse or right.

3. What is meant by a complete angle?

4. Measure the following angles.

5. Choose the pair of supplementary angles:

a) 20°, 170° b) 90°, 90° c) 140°, 40° d) 39°,
109°

6. What is the complement of
a) 10° b) 89° c) 75° d) 55°

7. Name all the angles adjacent to ∠QPR

8. Given the below diagram, if ∠1 = 130°, then what is the

measure of ∠2?

9. Answer the following using the below diagram.

a) ∠3 = ? b) ∠4 = ? c) ∠2 = ?

10. Find the missing angle 4 if angle 3 = 137 degrees

1. ∠ABC, ∠XOY 6. a) 80°
b) 1°
c) 15°
d) 35°

2. 1) Acute 7. ∠UKJ and ∠PKM

2) Obtuse
3) Right

3. Complete angle: 8. ∠2 = 50°

360°

4. ∠PQR = 160° , 9. a) ∠3 = ∠6
∠XYZ = 180° b) ∠4 = ∠1
c) ∠2 = ∠5

5. b) and c) 10. 137°

1. Figure 1: ∠ABC, Figure 2: ∠XOY

2. 1) Acute 2) Obtuse 3) Right

3. A complete angle also known as a full angle measures 360°

4. ∠PQR = 160° , ∠XYZ = 180°

5. Supplementary angles are the angles that sums up to 180°

a) 20° + 170° = 190°
b) 90° + 90° = 180°
c) 140° + 40° = 180°
d) 39° + 109° = 148°
Thus, option b) and option c) are supplementary pairs of
angles.

6. Complementary angles are the angles that sums up to

90°
a) 90° - 10° = 80°
b) 90° - 89° = 1°
c) 90° - 75° = 15°
d) 90° - 55° = 35°

7. Adjacent angles are the angles that share a common arm

without overlapping
The angles that are adjacent to ∠QPR are ∠UPQ, ∠RPT
and ∠RPS

8. Linear pairs are adjacent angles that sums up to 180°
The given diagram shows a linear pair of angles.
∠1 + ∠2 = 180°
Thus, ∠2 = 180° - 130° = 50°
Hence, ∠2 is 50°

9. a) ∠3 = ∠6 b) ∠4 = ∠1 c) ∠2 = ∠5
They are all vertically opposite angles and hence, equal
to each other

10. From the given figure ∠4 = ∠3 since they are vertically

opposite angles
Thus, ∠4 = 137°

1) The letter 'L' forms a 90° between it's
standing and sleeping line.

2) All our body parts are aligned in such

a way that there are different angles
formed between our body parts.

3) The word complementary comes

from Latin completum (meaning
completed) because the right angle is
thought of as a complete angle.
