10- Blow Off Test – FM-200 Fire Suppression System

Test Procedure
1. All required PPE (Helmets, Safety Shoes, Goggles, etc.) to be worn by testing personnel prior to start of test.

2. Obtain work permit (if required)

3. Ensure adequate lighting is provided in the working area.

4. Test area to be barricaded and warning signs placed to prevent entry of unauthorised persons.

5. Ensure that Pneumatic test has been conducted on the piping network.

6. All outlets of the pipe network to be closed using proper plugs.

7. Now unplug one outlet and seal it using a plastic bag or white sack.

8. Connect the nitrogen cylinder and pressure gauge at the clean agent cylinder connection.

9. Increase pressure to reach up to 40 psi in the entire piping network.


10. Once 40 psi pressure is reached, suddenly remove the plastic bag or white sack to allow air to escape from the system,
taking away all the dirt and particles from the piping.
11. Repeat the test for all other outlets.

12. Install all nozzles after conducting Pneumatic test and Blow Off test.
