Guidelines to fill up the Online Application Form for

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the Academic Session


2023-24

Applicants are required to keep the following details & scanned copy of the documents
ready before applying:

Ensure Following

1. An E-mail ID for registration and for receiving all future correspondence till the
admission process is over (and subsequently, if admitted).
2. A Mobile Number to receive SMS-based notifications/communications related to the
online application; Admit card etc till the admission process is over (and
subsequently, if admitted).
3. Aadhar Number of the candidate
4. Mobile linked with Aadhar number
5. Good internet connection.
6. A recent scanned passport-sized colour photograph (for scanning and uploading in
"jpeg" format only. The File size of the scanned photograph should not be more than
200KB).
7. Your signature using a Blue/Black pen on a white sheet (for scanning and uploading
in "jpeg/jpg/png/bmp/gif" format only. File size of scanned photograph should not be
more than 100KB).
8. Candidates seeking reservation need to upload a valid cast certificate/ undertaking
dully filled in and signed (as applicable)
9. Access to an online payment facility/service such as
1. Net Banking
2. Credit card
3. ATM-cum-Debit card
Steps to be followed for filling out the online application:

The entire process of filling out the online Application form can be completed as given below.

1. Registration on the National Institute of Fashion Technology portal for the


online application process: http://niftadmissions.in/.
2. Mobile linked Aadhar number required.
3. Activate your online Application with the Activation Code received on your Email
ID and Mobile number during the registration process.
3. The applicant is required to fill in “Personal Information” after registration. The
application form will appear on the screen. The applicant is required to fill in all the
required details in the application form.
4. In the next step, the applicant is required to upload scanned image files of his/her
Photograph and Signature one by one.
5. In the next step, the applicant will be required to fill in the Educational Information and
upload the supporting documents. (as per course applied).
6. Once all the details are filled in, the candidate is required to review the details and
confirm. No editing will be allowed once the application form is confirmed or
payment made by the candidate.
7. Your application process will be completed only after you pay the application fees by
using any of the available online modes of payment.

Step by step guide with screenshots for the complete process is given below.

Step 1: Please click on the “Click here to Apply” link on the home page of the
http://niftadmissions.in/

Step 2: After clicking on the link, you will be directed to a new page with an Applicant Login
Box. There you can see a link to "New Registration". Please click on this link to proceed
further.
Step 3: When you click on the link a Registration Form will appear on the screen where you
need to fill your mobile linked Aadhar number and click on send OTP.

OTP will send to your Aadhar registered mobile number. Please enter the OTP and click on
Verify OTP.
Now some details automatically filled according to your Aadhar details and fill the left blank
part. Final enter the Captcha code and click on Sign up button. As screenshot below.

Note :

 Password needs to be entered 2 times. Both should be the same. Otherwise, it will show an error.
 Do not share your login/Password details with anyone.

NOTE: PLEASE NOTE THAT DETAILS SUBMITTED DURING REGISTRATION CANNOT BE


CHANGED LATER. SO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT MAKE ANY MISTAKES WHILE FILLING
UP THE APPLICATION FORM.

When you click on the "Sign up" button a new pop-up showing registration details will
be displayed. Click on the "Confirm" button to proceed further.
Step 4: Activation and validation of Registration:

After the successful submission of your registration details, a confirmation message will appear
on the screen. You will also receive an e-mail containing a validation code/link on the e-mail
ID provided by you in the Registration Form. You have to click on this activation link to
confirm and complete your registration process as shown in the screenshot below.
Note: This confirmation and activation link email might land in your "Spam Folder" or"Junk
Folder'. So, in case you don’t find the registration confirmation e-mail in your "Inbox", please
check your "Spam Folder" or "Junk Folder'. If you find the e-mail from
niftadmissionsin@gmail.com in your "Spam Folder" or "Junk Folder', please report its "Not
Spam" and/or add the same to your contact list so that you receive subsequent e-mails from
niftadmissionsin@gmail.com in your Inbox. Always check your "Spam Folder" or "Junk Folder'
for e-mails from the NIFT Online Application Portal.

 Click on the activation link received in the e-mail otherwise your account will not be
activated so, don’t forget this important step.

 After clicking on the activation link, you will be directed to the validation page in which you
are required to fill in the validation code sent on your registered mobile number or Email ID.
Enter the validation code received on your registered mobile number or Email ID to
complete the registration process.

After successful validation, you will be allowed to log in and you will be directed to the My
Application section.
How to fill up the Application form?

Step 1: After activation and validation of your Registration, you can log into the Application
Portal.

After successful login, you will be directed to a Dashboard page. Now click on the “Click here
to Apply” tab as shown in the screenshot below.
Now you have to select the Course and then click on the proceed button.

After clicking on the proceed button a Confirmation Popup will appear on your screen, Check
and confirm the course details filled in by you and then click on the “Apply” button. As shown
in the screenshot below.

In the Application detail page, fill up the required details correctly (As shown in the screenshot
below)
Note: Mandatory fields have been marked with red asterisks. After filling in all the mandatory
fields you will be allowed to 'Save'' the form
After filling in all the details click on the 'Save and Continue' Button to proceed further.

Photo & Signature to be uploaded:

To upload the image file of your scanned passport-size colour photograph and signature, click
on the 'Upload Photograph and Signature' button available on the left panel.
(Your scanned passport photo should be within 3.5 x 4.5 cm in size, scanning resolution
should be within 100 dpi & file size should be less than
100 KB.)
If you are facing any problem to upload your photo,
you are requested to resize your photo as per the
sample images shown here.
To Resize your scanned photo please follow the
following steps:
1. Right-click on the scanned photo file → Open
with
→ Microsoft Office Picture Manager
2. Now from the top menu bar, Click Picture →
Resize
3. Now from the right sidebar, Select the radio
button Custom width x height, And write width =
138px, height = 177px. Then Click OK to complete.
4. If you are not able to do this properly, then you
can try the 'Crop' feature for the 'Picture' menu
5. Then save the file.
Choose the image file (jpeg format; the photo should be within 4.5 x 3.5 cm in size, scanning
resolution should be within 100 dpi & file size not more than 100 kb) of your scanned passport
size photograph and signature and click on the Upload Photo and Upload Signature button
given below the Box. After you have successfully uploaded the photograph and signature, you
will see the following page:
Now after uploading the photo and signature, you have to select the examination center
from ”Examination Center Preference Page”. After selection the center preference click on “Save
& Continue” button as screenshot below.

Now please fill your Education details as per required fields below. After that click on “Save & Proceed”
button. (as screenshot below.)

When you click the “Save & Proceed” button one confirmation popup will appear, please confirm this.
Now you have to upload your educational document as per requirement and click on save and
proceed. (as screenshot below.)

After uploading the educational information, you will be redirected to the final confirmation
page. Please overview all details as you filled and tick the confirmation section and click on
“Confirm and Submit” button. (as screenshot below.)
All details filled by you will appear on the screen, Check all the details properly and click on the
“I CONFIRM THE ABOVE” checkbox option & then Click on the 'Confirm &Submit button.
After filling in all the details click on the Proceed to Payment button to complete the payment
process.

How to pay the Application Fees?

Step 1: To start the payment process , you will get a drop-down list for "Payment Type” here you can
select ONLINE Payment type.

Step 2:To proceed with the online payment you need to select an online method (Credit Card,
Debit card, SBI Net Banking or Net Banking on other banks.)
Step 3: Click here to “Proceed To Pay” and on clicking, you will see the following screen.
After selecting an online method and entering card details or net banking details and clicking on
'Proceed to Pay' will appear on the screen and then click on the Pay Now & Submit
Application button to complete your online application process.

After successful payment, click on the Print button and Save your form for further use.
Enquiry and Help desk
For any query and help kindly click on “Helpdesk” tab available on Dashboard on Admissions
Portal.

Now the Helpdesk will open where you can create new query as per screenshot below.

For new query click on “Submit New Query” button and enter you query and click on “Send”
And to see the old query status click on query list. As screenshot below.
