A Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a dual role that combines the functions of chief
executive /MD and manager. They design, implement policies to promote company culture and
vision and oversee operations to keep businesses on track.
The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the managing
director (MD). He has to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect him to be
an experienced and efficient leader. He has excellent people skills, business acumen and
exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet him.
The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and
sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing,
Sales, Finance etc.)
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
Overseeing the daily business and administrative operations and improving operating
procedures for optimal efficiency
Assessing and enhancing the efficiency of internal and external operational processes
Leading and motivating staff to achieve sales and organizational objectives
Overseeing the recruitment process to attract the best candidates and reduce employee
turnover
Mentoring and inspiring employees to key into the vision of management
Establishing policies that improve and promote company vision and culture
Evaluating company performance and recommend strategies to improve results
Collaborating with management and other stakeholders to raise capital and carry out
other business-expanding strategies
He oversees a company’s daily business operations and administration. The duties of a
COO include compiling the company financial reports, implementing business strategies
and optimizing the organization’s operational capabilities.
Working together with key participants to compile the budget.
Spearheading strategies to steer the company’s future in a positive direction.
Driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention,
and company goals.
Controlling company costs, and introducing tactical initiatives to address theft and other
losses.
Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies, and collaborating
with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.
