SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
1. Deliver the unit to its installation place in its package, visually check its body, motor(s),
blowers and heat exchanger for any damage or faliure, if any damage is noticed, you
should directly report it to the contractor or DCM.
2. Place the units on a leveled area and don’t place any articles on top of the units.
HORIZONTAL INSTALLATION:
CAUTIONS FOR INSTALLATION:
1. This product must be installed by a suitably qualified person. a) Selection of installation site:
2. Make sure of connecting the Earthing wire. 1. Make sure the installation place is sturdy, vibration proof and strong.
3. Avoid areas with possible flammable gases leakage, that may cause fire. 2. Provide extra space and access doors for maintenance around the fan coil unit as
indicated:
3. Keep items that may obstruct the air flow away from the unit. Items around the unit that
hinder air flow may cause the discharge air to be sucked in directly and result in a short
EFFECTIVE OPERATION: circuit. This would mean ineffective cooling and dew formation.
1. Close all doors and windows in the room to ensure cooling effect and avoid dew formation 4. Avoid areas with high oil content or thick vapour (such as restaurants and machine plants)
on the fan coil unit. to allow the unit to perform its best. The oil may adhere to the coil surface therby reduce
2. Furnishing the glass windows with curtains and blinds to screen the sunlight would heat transfer, and also may cause corrosion of the heat exchanger.
improve the cooling effect. 5. Select the best location where air flow distribution shall be uniform and not directly
3. Try as possible as you can not to use heating appliances when fan coil is running. pointed to the skin of the occupants.
4. Clean air filters periodically (every 2 weeks). b) Installing the main body:
5. Ensure chilled (or Hot) water quality to be according to the local and international 1. Drill holes in the ceiling structure exactly where the corresponding holes are located on
standards, that minimizes the hazard of coil corrosion and ensures the lifetime of the unit. the fan coil unit top.
6. Guard against freezing (if the outside temperature goes below 0ºC in winter season) by 2. Use anchor bolts and nuts for adjustment.
circulating hot water or draining the pipelines. 3. Piping and wiring connections must done in the ceiling after hanging the main body.
4. Provide an appropriate slope in the fan coil unit towards the drain pan.
a) Hanging the unit on the wall using L shaped bolts with wall fixed anchors: Make sure to turn the electric power off before cleaning the unit.
1. Leave at least 100 mm below the unit to allow free air circulation and filter maintenance Please wear gloves and be cautious about safety when working in high locations.
operations.
2. Drill holes in the wall structure exactly where the corresponding holes are located on the AIR FILTER CLEANING:
fan coil unit back.
3. Use anchor and L shaped bolts for adjustment. 1. Clean out the dust in the air filter either with a vaccum cleaner or with water and neutral
4. Piping and wiring connections must done after hanging the main body. 2. detergent.
5. Provide an appropriate slope in the fan coil unit towards the drain pan exit. 3. Dry the air filter in the shade, drying under sunlight can deform the air filter.
4. Put the air filter back after drying it, don›t operate the fan coil unit without a filter, as that
b) Fixing auxiliary base mounts on the floor: may cause breakdown.
1. Fix the auxiliary base mounts on the floor using anchor bolts and nuts.
2. Fix the unit body to the auxiliary base mounts by revitting or bolts and nuts. FAN BLOWER CLEANING:
3. Use anchor and L shaped bolts for adjustment.
4. Piping and wiring connections must doneafter hanging the main body. 1. Clean the blower blades by a small soft brush or a small scrapper.
5. Provide an appropriate slope in the fan coil unit towards the drain pan exit. 2. Remove the dust by hand and clean the fan housing with a cloth.
3. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the fine dust remaining inside the fan coil unit.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
When The Unit is Out of Order:
PIPING: Make sure to turn the electric power off before checking the unit.
Use metal pipes (seamless black steel, copper, stainless steel, etc).
1. Install valves at water inlets and outlets.
2. Piping should be done so that, the maximum working pressure of the fan coil is around 10
bars, and air should not be accumulated inside the pipes (Automatic or manual air vents should
be provided in the pipelines).
3. Install a strainer at the entrance of the fan coil unit to prvevent debris and other
contaminants from entering inside the heat exchanger.
4. You can inform us upon placing an order of the required piping direction (Left or Right).
5. However, if you should reverse the piping direction onsite, do the following:
• Unscrew the drain pan screws and disassemble the drain pan.
• Unscrew the coil cover screws to remove the coil from the unit then insert the coil
into the main body with the piping connections facing the other direction and then • If the faliure remains after checking the above items, contact your contractor or DCM.
connect the coil cover. • Make sure to inform us with the MR# and Purchase date and of course the unit model.
• Unscrew the adjustment screw of the terminal and then place the terminal panel
towards the piping.
