Purlin Design Limit State

This document discusses the design of purlins for a roof with a 30 degree pitch under biaxial bending loads. It provides the dimensions and spacing of the trusses and purlins, as well as load calculations for the self-weight of the purlin and sheeting, snow load, and resulting bending moments. An ISMC 100 section is proposed and checked against the calculated bending demand to verify its adequacy.
