Option a) is incorrect because in the sentence ,"alice in
wonderland" should be capitalized since it's a title.
Option b) has unnecessary double inverted commas
around "she enjoyed reading, ...." as in indirect
sentences these commas are not needed. Option c)
incorrectly places a comma after "she," creating a
comma splice, and capitalizes "Reading" unnecessarily.
Option d) correctly places the commas and quotation
marks , capitalizes " Alice in Wonderland," and has
proper sentence structure.
Hence, correct option is d).

This sentence is in indirect or reported speech. Anita is
a proper noun so the first letter is capitalised, it is also
the first word of the sentence which is another factor
for the capitalisation. There is no need for commas or
quotation marks unlike direct speech. Instead, we add
single quotes for the title of the book 'Alice in
Wonderland' to add emphasis and capitalize as
required. ('In' isn't capitalized as it is minor word.
Examples of minor words are prepositions, articles,
interjections or conjunctions.) We add a full stop at the
end to complete the statement. This consequently
makes the right answer Option D, that is: Anita said
that she enjoyed reading 'Alice in Wonderland'.
