Business Report - Structure and Format
Structure:
Your Business Report should follow the structure as outlined below:
Title page
• Title: 10-12 words
• Student names
• Students numbers and class
• Course name
• Date
• University name (GIHE)
• Signed statement of authorship
Table of Content
Body - each pair of students will write 600 words per company on the following
elements – make sure you indicate the names of each pair of students.
o Presentation of the company
o Causes & Consequences
o Solutions
Reference List
- Margins should be 3.5 cm wide on the left, and 3.17 cm on each of the other side
- The pages should be consecutively numbered at the bottom right hand-side of each
page. Page 1 is the first page of your text (the first page of the Introduction chapter),
all previous pages are numbered with roman numerals, with exception of Title Page
(No page number on the Title Page).
- The page headers must be kept empty (do not include your name, your student
number, assessment title, etc. in the page header).
- Start new paragraphs with an indent.
- Each main chapter must begin on a separate page.
- Each main chapter (starting with the Introduction) should be numbered.
- Avoid short sections/paragraphs (section with one paragraph only, paragraph with
one-two sentences only).
- References list: follow the APA 7th edition rules and requirements. For example:
o Alphabetical order
o Indent recommended 0.5" or 1.27cm.
