Download and install required fonts, restart AE. Use AE version CS5.5 and higher to open the project file.
Ignore error message that pops out when the project is opened with newer versions of AE.
Project Navigation
Open “MAIN COMP” to navigate through the timeline and all scenes. You can find “Placeholder” comps
inside each “Scene” comp, as well as text layers, “Camera Controls”, “Scene controls”, “Background”,
shape layers, and others. In some comps shape layers are hidden, press “shy” button to reveal them.
Navigate through all project comps inside project panel. All folders are named and sorted for your
convenience.
Import and Insert your Media
1. To insert your image or video, firstly import them by going to File > Import > File. Or double click
on project panel.
2. Drag your media inside “Footage” and “Placeholder” comps. Scale them to fit composition size.
You can also change Placeholder size from composition settings (Ctrl+K). Delete “Delete me.jpg”
footage from “Assets” folder, when all placeholders are filled with your media.
3. Insert your logo into “Logo Square” and “Logo Horizontal” comps.
4. Audio file should be dragged inside “MAIN COMP”.
Edit Scenes
1. To edit text layers, double click them and type your text. Change text position with the move
tool. Edit text colors by selecting them and changing the color attribute or edit applied effects
like “Gradient Ramp” in effects tab.
2. To edit Background colors, select “BG” of each comp layer and edit fill effect. “BG” of some
comps is nested in parent comps.

Edit Camera
Some “Camera controller” layers have animated properties that are driving timing of a scene. Press “U”
to reveal and edit them.
All cameras in the project are connected to a null with default speed controls for each axis. Set required
speed to apply constant movement to one of the directions. Set number to a negative value to move in
opposite direction. Isometric scenes also have “Camera Angle” nulls, that are controlling angles
separately from position null.
Edit Timings
To edit scene duration, in most cases, you will need to change keyframes inside it, that are animating
text layers, camera movement, shape layers. Inside comp press “U” without any layer selected, to reveal
all keyframes. From there select those that are required to be moved in order to change durations.
After changes inside comp, don’t forget to edit keyframes in “MAIN COMP”, that are responsible for a
scene to appear or a transition to reveal underlying comp. Also, change comp duration and move other
comps to fit new animation timings. Cut out comps that are not currently visible to shorten render
times.
Duplicate Scenes
1. Import same project file inside template. File > Import > File.
2. Find required scene and insert it inside “MAIN COMP”. Use new placeholders from imported
project file.
Render
1. From “MAIN COMP” drag work area to the start and end of the comp (or desired final output
duration). You can use shortcuts “B” and “N”.
2. Press Ctrl+M to add this comp to render queue.
3. Choose output format and press Render. In most cases, optimal output file setting is QuickTime,
h.264, Quality 80.
4. While it renders, take a second to rate my template ;) this will really help me! -
