SAP BTP (Part - 2)
SAP BTP (Part - 2)
Introduction
SAP BTP offers services to integrate data and extend applications. Services
enable, facilitate, or accelerate the development of business applications and
other platform services on SAP BTP.
The central Web-based user interface for administrators provides access to a
number of functions for configuring and managing applications and connecting
them to services on SAP BTP.
In the Cloud Foundry environment, you enable services by creating a service
instance and binding that instance to your application. A service instance is a
single instantiation of a service running on SAP BTP. Service instances are
created using a specific service plan.
To integrate services with applications, the service credentials must be
delivered to the application. So, for that, you can bind service instances to your
application to automatically deliver these credentials to your application. Or
you can use service keys to generate credentials to communicate directly with
a service instance.
