Openvpn Client installation

Windows Machine
Download openvpn client setup form this link : https://openvpn.net/community-downloads/

1. Click on download as per your system

Version then Click to Save File

for download.

2. Then double click on file to install.


3. Click on next.

4. Click on I Agree
5. Click on Next.

6. Then Click on finish.

7. After installation you can see the OpenVPN icon on desktop. Now go to the path of openvpn
installation in program files or program files (x86). Path should be:

C:\Program Files\OpenVPN

C:\Program Files(x86)\OpenVPN
8. Now go to config folder. (VPN Access which is provided by IT team like <filename>.zip)

Please extract that zip and copy all the files on config folder.

9. Now go to Desktop and right click on openvpn icon run the openvpn.
10. When you click it’s come to Taskbar tray icon near to Date and Time: right click and
connect your vpn access. Is a process windows it’s showing your the connection is
connected (now you can access your server through VPN )or not. If not please contact to
IT team.
Openvpn Client installation

Ubuntu/Centos Machine
1.Install Openvpn client in Ubuntu OS:

#sudo apt-get install openvpn


- Enter your password if asking.

2.Install Openvpn client in Centos OS:

#yum install openvpn


3. Now Download your VPN Files which you get from Office. Files is in zip mode.

4. Please extract first and go to that extracted folder.


5. Here you see 3 files (like : .ovpn / .pem / .key )

we need to run the .ovpn file to start openvpn by right click here and click on open in Terminal.
6. Command to run openvpn:

#sudo openvpn --config <filename>.ovpn


7. After entering that command on terminal you will connect with office VPN.

8. If you got this type of screen looks you have successfully done configuration.
Openvpn Client installation in MAC

1. Download VPN client form url: https://tunnelblick.net/

2. You get the file with name of:Tunnelblick_3.8.1_build_4270.4517.dmg

3. Install this .dmg file in your mac.

4. After complete setup it’s asking for auto-configuration, click on auto check and finish.

5. Copy user vpn file in machine and and click on .ovpn file ( after click it’s asking to you for users
all user and only me type) choose as per your need.

6. After this go to the left side on the top here is tunnelblick icon click on that here is showing
connect as (your user name).
