Ⅰ Product Introduction
1. Product Summary

Client Software is a distributed network management system which


includes real-time preview, playback, electronics map, and
configuration. The main functions are following:
1) In the preview window
Providing the unified browser interface to view real time image
and control the recording and show the recording status.
2) In the playback window,
Search the recording file according to the need which including the
front-end recording and local recording, up to 9ch playback
simultaneously
3) In the electronics Map window
Add and delete the electronics map according to the need and
realize the preview and playback and alarm function.
4) In the configuration window
Centralized management of I8 video surveillance device (NVR,
DVR, IP CAMERA etc), provide configuration of the front end device
2. System Operation Environment

Operation system :Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher version

CPU:Intel Pentium IV 2.0 GHz or higher version


Memory: 1G or higher
Ability: No restrictions for the front-end device and support at least
16 channel D1 video browsing and storage. And can support more
according to the system configuration.

II. Software Introduction


1. Main interface
Login screen:

User name and password: the default user name is admin, the
password is blank. You can select automatically login and can skip the
log in screen next time. You can cancel the automatic login in the system
configuration.
2. Video Preview
Login the system and the interface is as following:

2.1 Open the Preview


Double‐click channels in the device list on the left o r d r a g
t h e c h a n n e l t o t h e w i n d o w s d i r e c t l y (click the right
mouse button on the device channels, and select “Open All
Preview”) to open the device channel preview (if there is a
triangle icon on the channel list, means this channel is on preview),
as shown below:

There is a circular icon behind the channel icon of left device list
and lower right corner of preview screen, means not open local video
recording, means open the local recording. Click this icon on the
preview screen can open or close the local video.
There is a toolbar under the preview window, shown as following:

The corresponding function for the icon is split-screen switch,


start /stop polling, last group, and next group and stop all
preview/polling.

2.2 Right Key Function of the Device and Channel


1) Open all channels preview
Click the device, select and then can open all channels preview
under this device.
2)Close all channels preview
Click the device, select and then you can close all the preview
3)Open all channel recording
Click device, select and then can open all channels local recording
4)Close all channel recording
Click device, select and then can close all channels local recording
5)Open/Close recording
Click channel, select and can open / close local recording of this
channel

2.3 Right Key Function of the Channel
1)Stop preview
“Stop preview” is using to close the selected channel.
2)Capture

“Capture”(in preview control have capture icon )is a real-time


preview screen capture, and then save it in the specified directory.
3)Start/Stop Record
Start or stop the local recording of the channel.
4)Open/Close Sound
To open / close the channel audio preview and it also can be
controlled through the button under the preview window (can only
open one channel audio under all channels video preview window mode).
5)Open/Close Intercom
For open/close the intercom of the channel
6)Full screen
2.4 Channel Grouping Preview
First, enter the "Configuration" module, click on "Device Manage"
button to grouping the channels, shown as the following:

1) In the grouping list, right click mouse key to add "Add Group";
2) In the grouping list, right click mouse key to delete "Delete group”;
3) In the configuration window, click "Local Configuration” to modify

the preview grouping rotation time;
4) In the list of all channel of the devices , select the channel you want
to add the device, set the rotation time, and then select the group, click
to add the channel to the specified group;
5) In the group list, select the channel which you want to remove the
device, click to removed it;

6)To sort in the channel of subgroup, please click UP , down

. Click to open polling, as following:

Note: the groups that open polling will add the polling icon on group
folder icon, such as , click will close the polling.

2.5 PTZ and Auxiliary Function


2.5.1 PTZ Control
There are 8 directions in the lens control: up, down, left, right, upper left,
lower left, upper right, lower right; focal length zoom in and out; zoom in
and out of focus; aperture zoom in and out; PTZ speed setting, shown as
following:

2.5.2 Preset Setting
(1) Preset setting and call: click presets, the following window appears

Turn the camera to the preset position you want to set, click on the
"Settings” menu, pop up the following window:

Enter the preset number and click "OK". To change the preset position,
turn the camera directly to the desired position, then click on the
"Settings" button again to save the preset position ,the preset position will
be updated, the max of setting up preset positions is 128 .If you want to
clear a exist preset, click "Clear" button. Click the "Go" button to turn the
call button for the camera directly to the corresponding preset number.
2.5.3 Cruise Setup and Call:
Choose the cruise, as shown below:

Select a number, click on the "Settings" button, pop up the following
window

Enter the name of the cruise, select the preset number, set cruise speed
and dwell time, click Add cruise point, you can add multiple preset points
to cruise, click OK to save the cruise point to add up to128 which can be
set to cruise path. Click to remove cruise point, you can delete cruise
points have been added, click the "Call” button to turn cruise calls, click
the "Stop" button to turn off the cruise.
2.5.4 Video Parameter Settings

Select the video parameters, as shown below

Through that interface, you can adjust Brightness, contrast, saturation and
hue of a preview of the selected channel, click the default value will
revert to the default values.
3. Video Playback
Enter the video playback module, as shown below:

3.1 Video Retrieval


Check the device tree on the left side of the device needs to playback
video channel (Note: Choose a maximum of nine channels), as shown
below:

In the "search" column, select the video playback position, select a
date in the calendar, click the "video retrieval" button, the system began
to search the video, and the search results appear in the search results
pane. As shown in the figure below:

3.2 Video Playback


- play, - stop, select speed adjustment scale can do video fast
or slow playback; double click progress bar can do positioning play,
shown as following:

In playback interface, double-click one channel image, can realize
channel full-screen playback. Right-click on a channel playback image
can open full screen.
3.3 Video Loading
Click video download button, pop-up video download settings
window, shown as following:

Select the channel that need to download, video location, time


interval, click "start download", the downloaded video file will be saved
on the assigned path.
Remark: (only close the playback can do the download, downloaded
video file will be saved on the assigned path. The default setting path is

“D: \ download file" folder)
3.4 Screenshot
In playback window, select a playback channel, click on the
capture button, the captured image is placed in the assigned folder.
Remark: the default saving path for the captured picture is "D: \"capture”
folder)
3.5 Open/Close Audio
Click to open the audio for the selected playback channel

3.6 Split Screen for Playback

Can be adjusted by clicking the button under the

playback interface to split screen, mostly only support 9 screens.

4.Electronic Map
Enter electronic map, shown as following:

4.1 Open and Close Electronic Map


Add electronic map
Click the icon on the left top of map to turn to , then right
click Maps on the Map list to add map.

Open Electronic Map
Double click the map icon in the map list to open map, shown as
following:

When the icon on the left top of map to turn to , means cannot
do operation for the electronic map, and cannot drag the channel to the
map. Click the icon to turn to , then can drag the channel to

map for setting. Click to show map in full screen.


4.2 Electronic Map Zoom in & Zoom Out
Do zoom in & zoom out by mouse roller
4.3 Channel Image Preview on Electronic Map
Open a map that has finished the setting, when the icon show as
, right click the channel, can do the operation like “ remove
channel”、“channel icon setting”、“set alarm linkage”. When the icon

shows as , select one video channel, right click to select Preview can
open the preview image. Shown as following:

4.4 Electronic Map Video Playback


Select Playback, can do video recording playback, shown as the
following:

4.5 Alarm Linkage Setting
When the electronic map under status, right click channel to
set alarm linkage and the following window will popup:

There are motion detection, video lost and video tampering that
different alarm type for optional, and also can select the following alarm
input, semaphore match the alarm input, when alarm is triggered, the live
image of alarm channel will popup on the electronic map.

5.Configuration
5.1 Device Management
Click to enter the configuration menu, click the device management
button on the top right corner, and show as the following

5.1.1 Add/Delete Area


Right click the main area of menu list in the left, it can do the
operation that to add area, add device, modify the name or add sub area
under the main area. When right click the sub area, except the above
operation, there also one more operation, that is delete node, the main
area cannot be deleted, but sub area can(remark: if there are devices
under sub area, means there are nodes, then the sub area cannot be
deleted).
5.1.2 Add/Delete Device
Right click the area, select Add Device, it wills popup following
window:

Click Search, all the i8 devices that in the same LAN will show in
the list as the following

When add the device, can select single device to add or batch add device
at on time
5.1.3 Remote Configuration
Select the device, then click Remote Configuration, it wills popup
following window:

It can do related parameter setting for the device by the remote
configuration.
5.2 Local Configuration
Click local configuration on the top right corner, show as the following:

There are following setting in the local configuration


1) Path Configuration: set the save path for the capture file and
download file
2) Group Polling Time: set the preview polling time, the default
setting is 10 seconds.
3) Alarm Warning Duration: when the electronic map receives the
alarm information, it wills popup the preview image, then it can set
the preview image duration time, the default setting is 20 seconds.
4) Display Scale: can set the window display scale, there are 16:9、4:3
and full screen for option.
5) Auto Login: select auto login, next time it wills skip the login
window and login directly.

6) Open Preview Automatically: select this operation, next time ,
when login the system, it wills open the preview automatically if
login out the system without closing the preview
7) Local Video Save Path: Setting: click Configuration, it wills popup
following window:

It can set the local video save path, reserve space and whether do
recycle recording
8) Auto switch stream: without selecting this operation, there are
main stream or sub stream for option under preview mode. After
selecting it, the default stream is main stream under one screen and
four screens mode, in other screen mode, the default is sub stream.
There are fast mode and save bandwidth mode for option. Fast
mode means open the main stream and sub stream at same time,
when do the switch, it just change the display. Save bandwidth
mode means when open main stream, it closes sub stream and vice
versa.
