SRIMAD BHAGWATAM NOTES

CANTO FIRST
INTRODUCTION
Introduction
PAGES 11-12

 Krishna is the ultimate enjoyer of all offerings.

 If the result is not meant for our enjoyment, first offer it to the
Lord.
 Due to this sense of false proprietorship, we shall not be able to
worship the Lord.
 Everything belongs to the Lord, so devotees are always
dependent on him.
 In this human form of life, we have the intelligence to question
why we are subjected to birth and death.
 Birth after birth doing the same-same things
 same experience gained by the dog and me. eating, mating,
sleeping, and defending
 Once put into our bodies, we are forced to act according to
them.
 Attachment to any material thing gives that kind of body and
circumstances
 No more going into the womb of any mother; this is not good.
 Next Life: Mother and Father Change
 The soul acts according to the body it enters.
 Passionate people are full of lusty desires.
 Even if in moderation of goodness but not doing anything for
spiritual life, it is bondage; since he wants to enjoy his good
deeds in heaven, we want to settle here in a good way.
 If we exist today, it's proof that I will exist in the future; I
existed in the past.
 sat sang; good association leads to our actions accordingly;
Nothing is done by us; it's done by nature.
 Tapasya makes the human form pure; this life is meant for
Tapasya.
 The greater our willingness to serve, the greater the impact.
 Just hard work gets nothing; it wastes time and energy if it’s not
in service of Krishna.

 This material body is not our property; we are given this body to
use it for Krishna's service.
 Attachment to material things because of a false ego is the
reason for our pain.
 Why am I struggling so hard? Why am I suffering so much?
Why am I in this cycle of birth and death? If I am eternal, then
why should I accept this temporary body? The human form of
life is given to us to inquire into these questions.
 The mission of human life is to make sure that we don't have to
take birth again in this material world.
 We have to work for our bodies until we are in this material
world. We cannot become free from this.
 The mode of goodness also binds us to this material world. We
do good things—we do punya karma—so that we can go to
heaven, but this is not the ultimate goal of life.
 By attending satsang and associating with devotees, we become
pure from within.
 Only in our human form of life can we follow austerity.

 Krishna is the ultimate enjoyer of everything.

 Nothing belongs to us; everything belongs to God alone.
 Krsna is the Supreme Proprietor. We are just caretakers of
Krsna's property, and we have to use it for his service.
 Everything is given and taken by Krsna, but a person in material
consciousness is convinced by his false ego that he is the doer of
everything.
 When we falsely identify things, we get attached, and
attachment gives us pain.
 The human form of life has a special mission: to stop the cycle
of birth and death.
 We are not this body; we have our own spiritual identity.
 By associating with different modes of nature, we are creating
different desires, and according to our desires, nature has gifted
us a certain kind of body.
 Once we put ourselves in a certain kind of body, we have to act
forcefully.
 If one is not interested in spiritual life, he is a good person, but if
he is not doing anything for spiritual life, then this type of
goodness is also a bandage. They want to settle here in a good
way, but this is not the goal of human life.
 Devotees are not interested in temporary life; they are interested
in eternal life.
 In spiritual life, we have to first sacrifice the temporary things
and then associate them with the things that help us make
spiritual progress.
 By performing austerity, we can transfer our consciousness
towards spiritual progress.
 When we are sinless, then our spiritual consciousness awakens,
and then we are able to understand the spiritual knowledge...
 If we engage in the activities of sense gratification and don't
serve Krishna, then we simply waste time and the human form
of life.

PAGES 13-14
 We are not forms of the Lord; we are pats of the Lord, not roop
but ansh.
 We all have individual identities; God is God, and a living entity
is a living entity.
 Shaktyavesh avtar means the Lord has invested his energy in it.
 Vedas are meant for humans, not animals.
 Accept the words of Guru with full faith; otherwise, go on
speculating life after life, wasting
 We don't question any professor or teacher; why is it so, but we
question a bona fide guru?
 You will accept someone, so for spiritual science, accept the
authority of the Guru.
 We don't want to accept the authority of Krishna, so we do
research to prove that there is no authority of Krishna, so we
have a problem in us; we are jealous of Krishna!
 Santah Sade hridayeshu vilokayanti: A sage always sees Krishna
in his heart.
 We are in ignorance; who is in charge? Shiva puts in ignorance
and decides who will come out of ignorance.
 Shakti serves Shiva by beating the ignorant soul. Envy is the
quality of a snake.
 body changes, but consciousness continues.
 When consciousness is distributed, whatever it will be, that
body will be awarded. If consciousness is of meat eating, then
we will get bodies accordingly.
 That body is decided by demigods; they know what's going on
in our minds.
 Krishna wants to save us from this temporary life span.
 Krishna meditates on himself.
 Ask so many questions from the guru, but first find and submit
yourself to the guru.
 atheists: cannot show, who are they?
 Science cannot prove the existence of the soul; we cannot prove
our existence, but we are questioning the existence of the Lord.
 Spiritual advancement depends on our hearing only.
 daily hear about the Lord
 Krishna will protect, avashya Rakshibhey Krishna.
 Nobody can harm me if I am chanting the holy name of the
Lord.
 wasting life on satisfying all
 Nobody is going to protect you from birth and death.
 Only Krishna will be in life after life.
 In every person, Krishna is with us.
 If Guru is satisfied, then Krishna is satisfied.
 Serve the Guru fully by following his instructions.
 The Vedas directly come from the Lord.
 Vedvyas ji is Saktyavesh Avtara of the Lord.
 Saktyavesh Avtara means when the Lord invests his energy to
perform a specific task for an individual...
 First quality in spiritual life: whatever Krishna said, we have to
accept. Always have faith in the words of the spiritual master.
 We have to follow authority (Krishna)... we can't apply logic
everywhere.
 Guru, deliver Krishna's message as it is to us...
 Dharma means duty to follow the Lord's order...
 Lord Shiva is teaching us how to become a devotee in this
material world, how to become unattached, even if you are on
the greatest post.
 Shiva is the Lord of ignorance. As long as living entities desire
to enjoy themselves independently, he engages them in the
mode of ignorance.
 No one becomes a devotee if we are not blessed by Lord Shiva.
 Lord Shiva is always meditating on the lotus feet of Lord
Krishna, and Lord Krishna is always meditating on himself. He
is Atmaram.
 Mesiries comes so that we can turn towards God...
 Everything we see, hear, and associate with has a direct impact
on our consciousness...but we are unaware of it.
 According to our consciousness, our next body is built...
 Krishna's law is working. No injustice. You get it according to
your karma.
 Krishna wants to rescue us from this law of nature because he is
our Supreme Father.
 If we do not change ourselves, then we have to change
forcefully.
 Our spiritual advancement depends on our hearing. As long as
we are hearing about the Lord, our spiritual advancement is
guaranteed.
 We should have faith in Krishna's name. If I chant Krishna's
name, no one can harm me.
 Supreme authority is watching us every time whatever we do, he
knows...even what we think. So remember this: we can't hide
from the eyes of Supreme Authority.
 Vaishnav means he is fearless and will do anything for the
satisfaction of the Lord.
 Devotees only focus on the satisfaction of Krishna, because if
Krishna is satisfied, everyone is satisfied.
 Guru awakens us. We should always have gratitude towards our
spiritual master. We have to show it by following his
instructions because he is doing the Lord's work.
 If we don't satisfy Krishna and engage in satisfying others, then
we simply waste our time and get nothing.
 Satisfying others can't save us from death. Even our mind is not
going to save us.

 We have to associate eternally.

 A devotee can tolerate everything except blasphemy against the
Lord and the Lord's devotee.

 Nobody can do Krishna bhakti unless he is blessed by Lord

Shiva. When Lord Shiva showers his mercy, then only we can
become Krishna devotees.
 Hearing is the best quality to advance in Krishna consciousness.
We should ask more and more questions. We should listen
carefully to our spiritual master. This is how we can grow in
bhakti.
 We should have unflinching faith in Krishna. I am taking
Harinaam. Nobody can hurt me.
 Krishna is satisfied when Guru is satisfied, so we should satisfy
Guru first by following his instructions.
 We should preach so that more and more people can come to
Krishna consciousness.
PAGES 15 -16
 We don't want to leave material qualities behind.
 Voluntary giving up the tendency to enjoy this material world is
a requirement of spiritual life.
 It's not magic that I will become a bhakta automatically, or if
someone says
 A big no to sense gratification
 Next life, more distractions
 If you want flickering enjoyment, then there is no spiritual
progress.
 For spiritual progress, we have to sacrifice our tendency to
enjoy the material world.
 Until we have the tendency to enjoy material life, we will never
get a taste of Krishna Prema, Krishna consciousness.
 When enjoying mentality goes, only positive Krishna conscious
mentality will enter.
 Krishna doesn't like double-faced souls; only Krishna and
Krishna
 Realize Krishna at the time of death because no one else can
help.
 So, practice Krishna consciousness as soon as possible.
 Don't turn your face away from Krishna due to this illusionary
energy of Krishna.
 If his illusory energy is so powerful that we are so attracted,
then how powerful is Krishna?
 The devotee is so merciful.
 The devotee is not double-faced; he is very pious and honest.
 Don't try to hurt any devotee; be very careful when dealing with
vaishnavas.
 Never do, think, or act badly for devotees.
 Nityananda is overly merciful in Kaliyuga.
 I have a sudra mentality.
 I work hard for instant sense gratification; that's it.
 Initiation is making a final commitment to a spiritual master.
 A person is identified by the words he gives to others, not as a
sack of mucus, muscle, and blood.
 Krishna can do any miracle in my life, which seems impossible.
 Krishna can change the laws of nature for his devotees, just like
he grew a mango tree within seconds for a mango treat for his
devotees.

 Progress in spiritual life is possible through commitment,

determination, and perseverance.
 Until one door is closed, another will not be opened. In the same
way, until we detach ourselves from material activities, we will
not get attached to spirituality.
 Until we give up on our enjoying tendencies, we will not be able
to progress in spiritual life.
 A true spiritualist never deviates from the path of devotion; he
remains stable in both happiness and sorrow, success and
failure, favorable and unfavorable.
 In the bodily concept of life, we focus on bodily pleasures, and
in the spiritual concept of life, we focus on Krishna's pleasure.
 Never do Vaishnav aparadha; otherwise, Krishna will not
forgive.
 We always have choice. It is up to us what we want to do in life.
If we choose the spiritual path, our lives will become glorious.

 Hare Krishna Mahamantra is a way of worshipping the Lord in

Kaliyuga.
 It’s Lord Krishna who, by his glance, gives a living entity a
body according to a particular desire.
 Krishna's senses do any activity. Krishna is complete, so his
senses are also complete. By seeing only Krishna, he can accept
Bhoga.
 We have to give up the tendency to enjoy material life, and then
only doors will open to spiritual life.
 Spiritual progress only depends on our commitment,
determination, and perception.
 When we are determined, we have to face many tests in life, but
we should always remember our commitments and be
determined.
 Sensual enjoyment is temporary; it's flickering, momentary
enjoyment.
 Everlasting enjoyment is with Krishna only...
 All happiness and suffering are temporary in this material
world; nothing is permanent, so this is not our goal. For this
reason, we do not have this human form of life.
 In Kaliyuga, 90% of the population of this world is like Jagai
Madai. It's a fact because they avoid Krishna consciousness.
They don't want to give up their tendency to enjoy the material
world. We should willingly give up our tendency to enjoy the
material world. Then we get a taste of spiritual life.
 Surrender means only Krishna, nothing else, and no chance for
the second option.
 We think that we have thousands of options, but at the time of
death, you realize there is no one... So today we are in a healthy
condition and have the chance to surrender to the lotus feet of
Krishna.
 We turned our faces away from Krishna because of his
illusionary energy. Krishna is so beautiful, so his energy is also
very beautiful.
 Krishna says that his illusionary energy is very dangerous.
Never take Krishna and his energy for granted.
 We should become very careful while dealing with Krsna's
devotees. Don't hurt any Vaishnavs.
 The Lord's devotee is very merciful. He is not seeing anyone
suffering. He wants every living entity to go back to the
Godhead. So they try to convince everyone to practice Krishna
consciousness.
 Initiation means to start a spiritual journey. When one makes a
final commitment to a spiritual master, he makes a promise to
follow all the rules.
 The law is working according to the lawmaker (Krsna)... If we
are committed to Krishna, then Krishna will change any law for
us.
 Choice is always with us; there is no forceful conversion. If we
practice Krishna consciousness, our lives become glorious.

 We take devotees names to appreciate their devotion towards
the Lord.
 In friendly talk, sometimes we violate the boundary between
Guru and Shishya.
 There was no idle sanyasi in society; Lord Chaitanya accepted
the sanyas ashram.
 Sanyasi is not reliant on anyone, not even on his own mind and
body intelligence; HE RELIES ONLY ON KRISHNA, THE
SUPREME LORD.
 Vrindaban: due to Shad Goswamigan's discovery, the whole
Braj Mandal
 We belong to such a sampradaya.
 This succession is so pure and effective.
 Lord Chaitanya's preaching headquarters: Jagannath Puri
 In dreams, we sometimes enjoy and sometimes are scared.
 We are now covered with a false life, so we feel fear and
enjoyment.
 Jivjago jivjago, waje up, sleeping soul,
 This is a dream of 40, 50, or 60 years; one role ends, another
role starts; one dream ends, the next dream starts.

 If the body is used for material purposes, then get a material

 If you want to use this body for spiritual purposes, then get a

 I'm living in the false ego that I am a girl, beautiful, ugly, and

 If I die because I didn't get him, then I'm most foolish.
 This lust has covered knowledge.
 Until I have this body, my enemy, lust, will always be there with
me.
 The mind, intelligence, and senses are places of residence for
lust.
 So, connect these three with Krishna.
 Since lust is constant in these places, keep Krishna also there
always in these places.
 If I don't keep Krishna always, then this fire of lust will destroy
me.
 LUST will drive me to GROSS MATERIALISM.
 to get out, voluntarily leave, tapasya
 senses, mind, intelligence—will not like to be engaging Krishna,
but put it! It's poison at the start, Nector in the end.
 Material life is Nector at the start and Poison at the end.
 Since Krishna made this world, he knows how it works, so we
should work according to his instructions, and then we will be
happy.
 I have to choose a spiritual life, and I have to make a decision.
 Mercy is to be earned, not given.
 Always, free will is there, so I should choose whether to serve

 Accept tapasya to remove anarthas.
 Consciousness is pure, but I smear so many dirty things from the
material world on it.
 Chanting, reading, lecturing, waking up early in the morning,
observing the 4 regulative principles, accepting Krishna as Lord,
and me as part and parcel of Lord = follow all this sincerely.
Even living here, we will live a spiritual life.
 Life can be greatly enjoyed by not experiencing material
tribulations, even in their presence, but by enjoying spiritual
nectar, the real existence.

 Devotees present an idol example in society.

 Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the merciful incarnation of Krsna.
Krsna is in a mood of acceptance. He can't set any restrictions.
Anyone can approach him at any time and in any place simply
by chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.
 We are sinful because we are not ready to work as per Krishna's
desire.
 Real Sanyas: To understand that everything belongs to Krsna,
everything is meant for Krsna's enjoyment, and I have to use
everything for Krsna's pleasure.
 Sanyaasi never depends on others. He completely depends on
Krsna's mercy. It is a real surrender.
 We all are covered with false life..live a dreamy life..it's not a
real life..so Chaitanya Mhaprabhu is aware of us..jiv Jago
(sleeping souls wake up)...it's not your real identity..you are not
this body..
 When a living entity enters a certain kind of body, the living
entity is forced to act accordingly.
 Today, we get a kind of body that depends on our previous
history, depending on what we accumulated in past lives.
 Nature is simply offering a certain kind of body. Whatever
activities we do, we get bodies accordingly in our next lives, so
become very careful about our activities.
 Nature will provide you with a spiritual body in your next life if
you elevate your activities from the material plane to a spiritual
platform.
 Lust is the tendency to enjoy material desires, and when we
don't fulfill our desires, anger comes. Lust is our constant
enemy; it covers all our knowledge.
 Life after life, we are associating with modes of passion, which
is why we are forced to attach to the material world.
 Krishna says, ..Attachment with sense objects is like fire. The
more you try to satisfy it, the more it will increase. It is never
going to be satisfied.
 So to control these senses, we have to engage them in Krishna's
service; otherwise, they will automatically engage in the service
of lust.
 We have to follow Krsna's instructions sincerely. Krsna knows
how the material world works. He is the creator.
 Austerity-sense demand, but forcefully engage them in Krishna's
service.
 Spiritual life: poison in the beginning Nectar in the end...
 Material life: nectar in the beginning, poison in the end
 Krishna is calling us, but we have to make a decision. We have
to make an effort. We have to fulfill our material desires.
Krishna will give us strength.
 Mercy is to be earned. It is not getting easy.
 Free will is always with us, but we have to control it. If we use
our free will for Krsna's purpose, then our consciousness
becomes pure.
 We have to accept that we are part and parcel of Krishna and
follow all the instructions of Srila Prabhupada before we can
live a spiritual life in this material world.
PAGES 19-20
 Absolute, performing anything is auspicious, such as even theft,
it’s not same as material theft
 Lord Chaitanya heard Sakshi Gopal's pastime because, to show
the atheists that Krishna is not impersonal, he reciprocates with
his devotees.

👆🏻👆🏻 stages of devotional service

 Bhav is the last stage; the bhav that comes in the initial days is
mixed; it is not pure.
 Pure bhaav is there in mahabhagwats like Srila Prabhupada.
 Sahajiyas practice showing off bhakti in accordance with their
own comfort.
 Pure bhaav, or pure devotion, comes when I am 100% attached
to the Lord only.
 If I am even 1% attached to the material world, then I am not
having bhaav towards Lord.
 If I am attached to Lord 100%, then I can talk to Krishna.
Krishna will talk to me.
 I see people as objects; I just want to enjoy that as a matter.
 Being spiritual energy, I am still covered with material desires
(false ego).
 even enjoy matter, I feel aanand, I feel I enjoy, but it's an
illusion.
 automatic process: nine stages of bhakti
 I am so disturbed; I cannot control my mind.
 any activity that will not encourage a devotional attitude or
spiritual life, then such activities are a waste of time, and that's
it.
 If he is doing all activities according to spiritual principles, then
he has already crossed many stages.
 Prema doesn't develop suddenly,
 We are searching for permanent things. Prema is in this
temporary world, so we are sad.
 Sometimes Krishna reciprocates through his mother in the form
of pure love.
 Pure love can be there between me and the Lord only; there is
no other way.
 Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Bhaav was purely transcendental.

 First stage: sadhu sang, then bajhan kriya (chanting, Katha,

kirtan, etc.). Bhav is the last stage of spiritual practice.
 The ecstasy of Sri Chaitanya Mhaprabhu is transcendental
ecstasy.
 Sahajiyas: They show artificial ecstasy. To attract innocent
people, they do these kinds of activities and take advantage of
them.
 Currently, our feelings toward the Lord are mixed; they are not
pure because we are not completely attached to Krsna. It’s not
pure if there is even 1% material attachment.
 In the starting stage, faith is developed, and association with
those who are already practicing Krishna consciousness
increases our attachment to the Lord.
 When we associate with the transcendental potency (chanting,
hearing, devotional service, and prasadam) of the Lord, our
transcendental consciousness revives.
 Annartahs: covering (kaam, krodh, lobh) the state of the soul
 Lust is a mentality that engages us in enjoying material things.
 We are never satisfied with material enjoyment; it's just like
rubbing our own hands and thinking that we get pleasure; it's an
illusion.
 After coming into Krishna consciousness, we detached from this
material enjoyment. It is the effect of devotion. It makes us self-
realize.
 We are always suffering if we are in search of eternal love and
care in a temporary place.
 Real love is only with Krishna. Krishna is supremely powerful,
so sometimes Krishna reciprocates through our parents and
Guru.
 With faith, we have to follow the spiritual path.

 Associate with devotees who practice Krishna consciousness.

By associating with them and practicing together, 'anartha' will
be automatically removed from our lives. Wrong habits and
desires will be removed. It will help us to awaken our dormant
love for God.
 We all need love, but we are expecting it from the wrong people
in the wrong place. The love we see in this material world is not
real; it is always associated with some motive.
 When we chant to please Krishna and guru, when we hear about
Krishna by associating with devotees, when we follow guru's
instructions, when we visit temples, then gradually we get
attached to God.
 Once we attach to God, we feel his pure love. We serve him
with feelings and emotions. We get a taste of devotional service.
We get real satisfaction.
 If we don't progress even after chanting 16 rounds, then maybe
we missed something, we are poor at following the 4 regulative
principles given by Guru, or maybe we are still attached to our
material desires and activities that are not favorable for bhakti.

PAGES 21-23
 The Hare Krishna mantra is not a normal sound; it's a
transcendental sound.
 No one has given the right to explain the Vedass in his own
words; it should be accepted as done by a perfect bona fide
authority.
 We are all living in jails, and while we are still in jail, we are not
living properly. It is the reason we are suffering in this material
world, as we are doing sinful activities here also.
 Performing sins means calling for more suffering.
 If we are not Krishna conscious, Krishna will not take us to his
spiritual abode. If we follow him, then we are immediately
eligible to go to his abode.
 Veda means knowledge, and Sutra means rules. The Vedas are
not for animals; they are for human beings to understand.
 Every answer is available in Vedic knowledge, all types of
knowledge—material world and spiritual world.
 We don't even realize that we are suffering; this is ignorance.
 A controlled mind can conquer the state of ignorance and come
to real consciousness.
 We should never think that I know everything and am the king
of knowledge. If we think this way, then we'll fall soon.

-
- We touch transcendental energy by chanting the holy name.
- We suffer in this material world because we have forgotten
Krishna, plus we are doing sinful activities, birth after birth...
- We live in a godless civilization. There is no God in our
activities. That’s why we are getting punished for realizing our
faulty tendency.
- People are suffering, yet they don't even realize that they are
suffering. This is gross ignorance.
- Quality of a student: he always remains humble and patient in
front of his guru. The person who thinks he knows everything,
in reality, doesn't know anything, and he never learns

 God is the one who possesses all opulence; he is the proprietor

of all planets.
 We understand Krishna by developing devotion.
 Spiritual consciousness revives when we connect with the
transcedental energy of the Lord by chanting the Hare Krishna
Mhamantra.
 We don’t agree to accept the perfect bona fide authority; the
Vedas should be understood only by the right authority.
 Vedanta sutr: All Vedas compile into one.
 Veda means knowledge. All spiritual, material, and every kind
of knowledge is available in the Vedas. It's not for animals; it's
for human beings.
 We are not eligible for Krsna Loka if we are not following the
instructions of Guru and Krsna.
 We are punished by Krsna's illusionary energy (maya) when we
forget Krsna in our daily activities. God-less civilization.
 In the material world, people don't even realize that they are
suffering. This is ignorance.
 Indra accepted the body of a hog and ate a stool. Even Indra
refused to go back to the heavenly planet. He was happy. Indra
was forced to act like a hog. His body demanded this type of
desire.
 We are forced by an uncontrolled mind to
 One who thinks that he knows everything is not going to learn
anything...
 Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is acting foolishly in front of his Guru;
he is showing the attitude of a student.
 We lose interest in spiritual life by thinking that we know
everything. When we are always humble in front of our Guru,
we make progress in our spiritual lives.
PAGES 24-25
 Non-devotees make mental concoctions.
 Mental speculation—when we don't know about it
 The more you do tapasya, the more you become humble.
 They accept the supremacy of the Lord.
 intelligent, beautiful brain beyond this creation.
 I don't want to leave my sense desires, so I don't mind all the
rules in the Shastras.
 manipulating the teachings of the Vedas due to personal motives
 next life death risk we are taking because we want to satisfy our
senses in this life
 Consciousness develops from sang..or association, very fast.
 For passionate people, I will get passionate desire; for ignorant
people, I will be ignorant, so association matters.
 The Mayavadis association should be immediately sacrificed, as
their association will influence the mind and cover the real
message of the Vedas.
 The source of all opulence cannot be impersonal.
 I’m not this body.
 I’m not this body.
 A pure devotee can see the Lord
 He is fully dedicated to Lord
 Due to Krishna, I can also think, feel, will, etc.
 Puranas are supplementary to the Vedas; SB is mahapuran,
presented for lower classes of low intelligence (women, vaisyas,
and sudras)
 Such literature is presented in simple language.

 Nondevotees do mental concoctions on God...

 Impersonalists are very dangerous. They don't apply any logic.
They create their own reasoning. For personal agendas. They
practice brainwashing.
 Once you accept the theory of Mayawadi, you get influenced.
They want to become Krsna (Mayawadi philosophy).
 They don't want to accept the idea of dictatorship.
 The Vedas are beyond tark, kutark, and vitark; they're beyond
our reasoning.
 Nobody can change the Vedas. Put a question on it: should we
accept the Vedas completely?
 The Vedas are the words of the Lord. There is no difference
between Krishna and his words.
 The purpose of all the Vedas is to know Krishna.
 But we don't accept the Vedas completely; we accept only a
portion that fulfills our particular desires.
 Consciousness changes by association. Our consciousness
defines us.
 Atheists don't believe in God, the law of Karama, the next birth,
etc.
 Krsna is the supersoul; he is present everywhere, even within
the atom. He is smaller than the smallest and greater than the
greatest (Mha Vishnu).
 The law of karma acts on you. You have to pay. Nothing is free.
 We are not objects in this material world. A dead body has eyes,
ears, and everything else but does not respond. There is no
feeling.
 We are doers; the body is only the medium to fulfill our desires.
 The body gets by Krsna's arrangement, and it takes by Krsna's
arrangement. No role for me.
 A living entity is an individual person; it's not a body.
 We can't comprehend God. We can only speculate.
 Pure devotees see Krishna everywhere.
 Devotee means fully devoted to the Lord. Are we devotees? No,
still, we have lots of desires.
 Krishna can do anything, but we can't do anything in
comparison to the Lord; we can't imitate.
 Puran means supplementary of all vedas (an easy explanation of
vedas).
 Those who don't consider Krishna to be God don't talk about
Shrimad Bhagwatam.
 For nondevotees, the story of the Lord is kind of imaginary.
 But for devotees, the Lord's stories have so much value that they
enjoy listening to them.
 Nothing is automatically created; there must be a creator, and that's God the supreme.
 Scientists are better than atheists because scientists do believe that there is someone
who has created the whole universe, while atheists believe that everything is
automatically created.
 The Vedas and God are not different from each other; they're the
same.
 The purpose of the Vedas is to know God (the supreme).
 Most people misuse the teachings of the Vedas just to fulfill
their own desires.
 There is no relationship between our consciousness and our
external body.
 Our consciousness (a living entity) is limited in its own body,
but Krishna's consciousness is unlimited; he is omnipresent.
 The reason behind the natural calamities is that when we disturb
nature, God's energy gives us results as natural calamities.
 Don't listen to Mayavadi's opinion because you can be in danger
and may not be worthy to believe in a person's form of God.
 Foolish people consider Krishna an ordinary person, not a God.
 But intelligent people know that Krishna is the god, the supreme
personality.
 Praam Staya (the truth) is one who has all opulence.
 The soul has the feature of feeling. We (the soul) are doers, not
our bodies.
 We can't conceive of God, but we can speculate about Him as
much as we have gained some knowledge from pure devotees.
 Pure devotees can see God.
 We should not claim that we are devotees of the Lord; we are
trying to become devotees.
 The Purana is the Supplementary Vedas.
 Mahabharat, Ramayana, and Puran are easy languages; the
Vedas

 Some people think that God can't have a personal form.

 Even some of them (the impersonalists) think that by practicing
some kind of austerity, I can become God.
 Impersonalists (some of them) have the desire to do austerity so
that after death they can go there, but they (impersonalist
believers) will have to come again in this material world.
 God's energy is of two types: internal and external energy.
 5) A living entity is the external energy of Krishna.
 The spiritual world is the external energy of Krishna.
 Living entities have the same quality as Krishna has. So quality-
wise, there is no difference between the living entity and
Krishna.
 For example, just like the sun and sunlight
 So it's our duty to serve God (Krishna).
 There is so no. of a living entity, it's all the energy of Lord
Krishna.
 Krishna's external means of material energy are so powerful that
we (living entities) get influence through this maya.
 As sunlight doesn't have any independent existence, similarly,
we can live independently because, without God, we don't have
our own existence.
 A living entity is the marginal energy of Lord Krishna; that’s
why sometimes we get influence from the spiritual or material
world.
 The Lord is sachidanand, which means full of bliss, full of
knowledge, and full of eternity.
 this eternal bliss energy conducted by Radha Rani
 So, this different type of energy is controlled by Lord Krishna.
 By serving Krishna, we can connect with him.
 Krishna has given us free will, so we are able to do anything we
desire.
 Lord Krishna didn't force anyone to fulfill our desires; it's up to
us what we want.
 Options: service of Krishna or service of Maya
 When there is no devotional service, we are not connected with
the supreme Lord.
 This material world is not a safe place because we are spiritual
beings.
 The material world is full of darkness and ignorance.
 We (the soul) are encased in this physical body.
 who don't know God because they are atheists or demons?
 People who know Krishna are in a different category; they are
devotees.
 So-called educated people are dependent on their machines, and
they are giving knowledge to God, who is transcendent, because
machines can't see transcendent things.
 Such as God and the soul, because our intelligence is limited.
 Maya Vadi doesn't accept Shrimad Bhagwatam, which is by
Vedvayasa; on the other hand, they follow Vedanta Sutra, which
is also by Vedvayasa.
 In this material world, there are highly intelligent people, but if
they don't indulge in devotional service of the Lord, they are not
intelligent, whether they are perfect people.
 The person who is not a devotee doesn't believe in their
commentary on the Lord; only devotees know who God is.
 Krishna reveals himself only to his devotees.
 Krishna doesn't reveal himself in front of the atheist class, or
mayavadi.
 Krishna has invested all his energy in his name, which is so
beautiful.
 Lord Krishna is always complete, even if he takes on so many
forms.
 Krishna's impersonal name is Om, and his personal name is
Krishna.

 We are all connected to Krishna through our service. If we don't

serve God, we will get disconnected.
 There are different kinds of desires because of the three modes
of material nature. Satto guna, Rajo guna, and Tamo guna...we
remain busy in this material world to fulfill our desires because
we wanted independent enjoyment; that's why we were sent to
this material world.
 Our soul is suffering because of our desires, but the body is not
suffering, although all the activities done by the body
 The person who doesn't believe in Krishna and who is not
Krishna's devotee is considered mayavadi; his intelligence is
covered by Krishna's illusory energy.
 We cannot trust the one who is not a devotee of Krishn, in spite
of his material intelligence, knowledge, position, or power. He
is not a knower of the truth.
 Until and unless Krishna reveals himself, nobody can
understand the absolute truth. Nobody can reach him.
 The agenda of ISKCON is to spread the Hare Krishna
Mahamantra all over the world.
 Krishna is perfect and complete. He can expand himself into
unlimited forms and universes. He has immense potency.
 Om is a transcendent sound, and it is identical with the
impersonal form of Krishna.

 Impersonalists want to take on the position of God through

austerity and meditation. Dangerous mentality
 Absolute Truth is a person. It's never impersonal.
 If we are ignorant, then we have to become part of this material
world...
 We are the energies of Krishna, and we can't exist without him.
Our existence is to serve the whole. Krishna is the source of our
energy.
 We forgot our original nature—that we are part and parcel of
Krishna and work according to our material nature.
 The material world is designed to convince us that we never
exist independently; here there is only suffering, but we can't
realize it.
 Krishna is beyond all superior and marginal energies.
 Krishna is full of eternity, knowledge, and bliss.
 We are eternally connected to Krishna by serving him through
eternal devotional service.
 We are always controlled by Krishna. Krisha gave us free will to
desire, and Krishna fulfilled our desires. Krsna never forced us.
Now it depends on what we want.
 We belong to Krishna, so we should work for Krishna.
 When there is no devotional service, we disconnect with the
Lord and forget our spiritual identity.
 Different kinds of desire come from three modes of nature.
 We accept bodies because we want to enjoy ourselves
independently. We don't want to serve the Lord, so we have to
live in the material world. It's not a suitable palace. Here,
everything is temporary.
 This material world is full of darkness and ignorance. Why do I
have to suffer? Why am I in the cycle of birth and death? Who
am I? Why is everything temporary? If there is no answer, it
means ignorance. This ignorance is the cause of our suffering.
 We are entrapped in this body. When the soul comes out, the
body stops responding.
 Those who are engaged in sinful activities never accept God.
 We should take perfect knowledge from a perfect source. The
Vedas are perfect. They come from the Supreme Authority
(Krishna).
 Atheists have their intelligence taken over by the illusionary
energy of Krishna because they don't want to surrender. They
don't desire to serve Krishna. If one desires to serve Krishna,
then the same energy helps us to come out of this illusion.
 Prabhupada ji never allowed me to hear Mayawadi's
commentary. They want to become one with the Lord. Don't
accept the idea of servitude.
 Devotees love to become servants of the Lord. The devotee is
happy wherever he may be. Even in this material world, they
only desire to serve Krishna.
 Prabhupada's agenda is to serve the mission of Lord Chaitanya.
 Krishna invests all his potency in his name.
 Krishna is complete; his expansion, creation, and everything
else are unlimited. He is the Lord, and he can do anything.
 Om 🕉 is the identicalform of LorddWhennyou chantt
Omm,you areu meditatingon Krishnaa'sspiritualityo.
 But when you chant Krsna, it means you are meditating on the
personal form of Krsna.

 Listening to impersonalists can hamper our own sadhana.

 The Supreme Absolute Truth is not impersonal or an energy but
has a transcendental form that is not like that of our material
bodies.
 Brahmajyoti is only the entry gate and not actually the spiritual
world, as the impersonalists think.
 This inferior material energy is the third form of energy of
Krishna, which is born out of ignorance.
 We are fragmental parts of Krishna, separated from Him and
thus suffering here in the clutches of material miseries.
 Living entities are stuck between spiritual and material energies.
We should dovetail our consciousness more towards the
spiritual energy we associate with Krishna.
 The Lord is the Supreme Controller, who is beyond anyone's
control. We are all controlled by Him, and we are attached to
Him only through devotional service.
 No matter how qualified we are in material studies, we are still
incomplete and imperfect. Only Krishna and the Vedas
emanating from Him are perfect, and from them we should
receive our knowledge.
 Those who are not devotees of Krishna are mayavadis, who
don't want to be the servants of the Lord. But actual devotees
want to be the servants of the Lord.
 Krishna is always complete. Even though He manifests and
expands into unlimited expansions, His potency doesn't get
reduced.
 'Om' is the impersonal chant for Krishna, while chanting
'Krishna' is associating with Him personally

 Vedant Sutra: conclusion of all Vedas in the form of sutr
(formula)...
 We can't become one with God. God was God in the past. God
is God in the present. God was God in the future.
 God helps those who help themselves. Krishna will help if you
desire and make endeavours to serve him. He gave you the
opportunity and made arrangements for you. He will also help if
you want to forget Krishna. He will take your memory, and his
illusionary energy will engage you.
 In Bhakti, faith is important—faith that Krishna will respond.
 Atheists want proof of Krishna's existence.
 We can't approach beyond our range, and Krishna is ready to be
approached by us in deity form. We can't approach him beyond
it.
 If God is a creator and I am part of his creation, then there must
be a relationship.
 In relationships, there must be a loving exchange. If there is
service, then there is love. We can't serve Krishna in parmatma
form, so he must be present in diety form to accept our service.
 What we do to please the Supreme Lord—for that he showers
his mercy—we want Krishna's love, but what endeavors we do
from our side—
 Devotee: Let me be in a hellish condition of life. Even he
doesn't want any liberation. He only wants to serve the Lord.
 Service: work as per Krishna's desire. What Krishna wants
 A devotee does service to attain the Lord. One who loves
Krishna loves every living entity. He sees everything in relation
to God. One who is God-conscious is conscious of everything.
 We can't understand why this birth is a problem.
 Krsna's name has all the potency of Krsna.
 By hearing Harikirtan, we revive our loving relationship with
the Lord.
 Mayawadi philosophy is the imaginary explanation of the Lord.
 Krishna has no control over our desires; that's why we suffer. He
gives us free will to desire, and he fulfills all our desires.
Krishna never forces us.
 Maya Devi does not disturb us. She facilitates us in this material
world because we want to settle here.
 Maya Devi also facilitates one who desires to serve Krsna and
wants to go back to Godhead.
 Devotional service is the topmost goal of human life.
 Personalists miss the blissful nature of the soul.
 First, we have to surrender in front of the Lord and then engage
in his service.
 Lord Chaitanya is the most merciful incarnation of Lord
Krishna. In this incarnation, he distributes Krsna Prema to all.

 We should not listen to anything about God from Mayavadi or

atheist people.
 Bhagavatam is the natural commentary of the Vedanta sutra.
 Reading the Vedas will not help you understand God. You must
first become a devotee of the Lord before he will reveal himself
to you.
 God is always God, no matter if you've seen him or not.
 God helps those who help themselves. If you want to come
closer to God, God will help you, but if you don't want to
believe in God, then God will also do this for you. He will do
such things that you can't believe in God.
 A devotee sees Lord Krishna everywhere.
 If there is no service, there is no love. That's why devotees
worship deities in their forms so that God can accept our
service.
 We must be devoted to God without any selfish desires, because
it's not business.
 If you want to serve God, don't serve anything to him; serve that
which God likes so that he can be pleased.
 If you love or satisfy God Krishna, then you are able to love or
satisfy everyone.
 If you want to understand God, first go to a devotional service.
Only by reading the Vedas can you develop your love for God.
Krishnaa.
 Kalyug is a very good age for us because only by chanting
(nam) can we reach Krishna.
 Mayavadi philosophy is nothing but its concluded knowledge
(Sunyavadi philosophy).
 We are independent in our desires, feelings, and willingness.
Krishna can't interfere in this; it's up to our desire to get what we
want. This is the reason why we have to suffer because of our
wrong desires.
 If we take the ashrya of Lord Krishna, then Mayadevi will test
us to see if we are liable for the love of Lord Krishna or not.
 First, we must surrender to Lord Krishna instead of challenging
him.

 I want everything to be permanent, but living in a temporary
world is the wrong place, so I am always unhappy.
 A relationship doesn't last forever.
 should act in their true nature, as part and parcel of the Lord.
 Attached to the body: anxiety
 24 hours connected with the Lord by engaging ourselves in the
activities of the Lord
 if not a devotee, fear of death
 Krishna will protect him in the event of death, the devotee

 It is not a big deal if you recognize the Lord, but it is a big deal
when the Lord recognizes us.
 I am an ass who doesn't get attracted to Krishna kirtan.
 self-centered life, I am living
 Various desires, various bodies
 wasting this life in sense gratification
 It's easier to do sense gratification in animal life, so why work

 But in human life, I train myself to do sense-gratification and

 They will save me from death. For whom I am working, I spend
day and night...
 Only Krishna, only Krishna, will save me at death's door. No
family members
 This world is like this only: without self-interest, no one will ask
you
 who is doing service to the Lord with full dedication—Krishna

 Seniority in spiritual life is based upon dedication in devotional
service.
 I am not valuing the mercy of the Lord; I am sh*t.
 I am worrying and crying for my body.
 those engaged in devotional service, not on a bodily platform.
 soul urge—Krishna

 We expect permanent things in a temporary world." I don't want

to get old. I don't want to suffer any disease, but still, nature
forces us. We have to suffer, and we get frustrated.
 Mukti: Free from the bondage of the material world by engaging
in service to the Lord...
 MUKTI: When we accept our true nature, that we are part and
parcel of the Lord, and our responsibility is to work for Krsna,
and there is no independent existence of me,
 We can connect with the Lord 24 hours a day when we engage
in the activities of Krishna consciousness.
 The devotee doesn't want a moment of separation from the Lord;
he is always engaged in the service of Krsna.
 A devotee is not afraid of death because he knows that he is not
this body and has complete faith in Krsna that he will protect
him.
 The big thing is that when Krishna recognized you,
 We have no interest in the Lord and live a self-centered life.
How do I satisfy my senses? He is not better than animals.
 The human form of life is meant only for God's realization.
 Based on a particular activity, one gets a certain kind of body
from nature.
 Human life is a condemned life, not a miserable life. Being in
this material world is punishment. We have to work like asses,
but we don't realize it.
 Lust is the nature of the material world. As long as you give
pleasure to my senses, I love you.
 The human form of life is rare, but we are wasting it on sense-
gratification.
 We don't have control over our senses.
 DHARMA means to follow the instructions of the Lord.
 When there is no Dharma in life, it's an animalistic life.
 Nobody is going to protect you or save you from death; only
Krishna will save you.
 Krishna loves those who dedicate their lives to Krishna's
service; they are the best in the eyes of the Lord.
 Based on one's level of dedication, one can catch the attention of
the Lord.
 If we have sincere desires, Krishna will facilitate everything.
We do not need to worry.
 How much you are endeavoring in Krishna's service, Krishna is
giving you mercy, and how you utilize that mercy, that mercy
will multiply.
 No effect of Shani, Rahu, or Ketu on devotees
 When we engage in service to the Lord, it's not a bodily activity.
It's a spiritual activity, and its result is also spiritual (eternal).
 Everything connected with this body will be destroyed one day.
 The Bhagavatam talks about the urge of the soul.
 Listen, Krishna is the satisfaction of the soul. It helps build our
relationship with the Lord.
 Grahstha life means you take responsibility to serve the Lord,
even in a much better way. Convince people and make families
connect with Krsna. It is your duty.
 Our spiritual realization starts when we are detached from this
material world and increase our attachment to the Lord.
 Our knowledge is useless if it is not used in the service of the
Lord.
 God says Jiva is my part.
 God's body is Satchidananda.
 How can we stay connected with God for 24 hours by chanting
the name of Go?
 Dharma is to follow the instructions of God.
 If we serve God with full dedication and chant his name, then
God also gives us full attention.
 Shianii Rahu Ketu never gets angry with a devotee.
 Build your relationship with God, love him, and serve him.
 The duty of a Brahman is to get people to do devotion, to do
devotion himself, to study Chant God, or to get others to do it.
 Brahmana is the giving charity of knowledge.
 Kshatriya: "Protect the society.
 Vaishy: maintain all (Brahaman, Kshatriya Vaishya,Shudra).
 Shudhr, who works for everyone.
 But intoday's time, e everyone is doing their own separatework;
, everyone is reducing each other.
 Devotion is the salvation of all knowledge.

 There is no difference between Mukti and Vishnu.

 Jivaa is an ansh (part) of Lord Krishna. a
 That's how soul quality is similar to godly quality. In this
material world, we take knowledge, happiness, and pleasure
from outside, but in spiritual life, our body is a spiritual body, so
all these qualities we have within ourselves (in spiritual life).
 In this material world, we want everything to be permanent, but
this is the wrong place for these kinds of expectations.
 These expectations are the nature of ours.
 If we can understand, we are part and parcel of Lord Krishna, so
already we are on the mukti stage.
 We do activities that are related to the Lord Krishna; in this
way, we can connect with him.
 When we start these devotional activities, we start getting
liberated from here (the material world).
 Devotees don't get greedy forms because devotees are already
mukt (liberated).
 The human form of life is meant for God's realization only.
 There are so many varieties of bodies because we have so many
desires, according to which we get that type of body.
 Being in this material world is punishment.
 If there was no dharma, our lives would be animalistic.
 Animals don't have any restrictions on sense gratification, and
whatever they feel, they do, but humans have some restrictions
on sense gratification.
 The best person is the one who is best in the eyes of Lord
Krishna.
 Lord Krishna is giving you mercy, and if we are utilizing that
mercy in a good way, then Krishna will give you more mercy by
seeing your efforts.
 When we engage in devotional service, it's counted under
spiritual activities, and we can't get material gains from this
activity.
 As hungry people urge for food, similarly, they urge for
Krishna.
 There is no stress in bhaktias with other duties (study, work,
etc.) because it's transcendental.
 The Saarr of all knowledge is the devotional service of Lord
Krishna. If we don't understand this and are only getting
knowledge, then this knowledge is totally wasted.

 How blessed you are! May God (Chaitanya mahaprabhu) come

for us and spread knowledge of the Vedas.
 Our Buddhai is limited; we can't conceive of God with this tiny
intelligence.
 Impersonalists believe that only ishvar styah and other things
are temporary, but personalists believe that philosophy is ishvar
supreme truth, permanent, and other things are also true but
temporary.
 That's why Chaitanya Mahaprabhu rejected impersonalist
beliefs.
 If we accept the philosophy that we are servants of Lord
Krishna, we will remain humble.
 Shrimadbhagwatm is the perfect guide for this philosophy.
 If we follow Krishna consciousness, we get perfect knowledge
in our lives.
 who is self-realize: the person who applies all his spiritual
knowledge practically?
 Since birth, materialistic people have taught us how to get a
comfortable life here.
 Materialistic people compete with each other for material gains
because they don't have any knowledge about spirituality.
 Devotees never ask God for material gain, and they never blame
God for problems.
 Our right is to do karma; we don't have any right to the result of
that karma, so whatever the result, offer it to God Krishna.
 If someone is under stress to please the Lord Krishna, then
Krishna will come himself and take him (the devotee).
 On the other hand, if you substitute stress for material life, you
will get more and more frustrated.
 We should listen to self-realization tapes and read books on a
daily basis.

 A devotee never asks anything from God; this is the identity of a

true devotee. He has no material desires for himself. He never
complains about anything.
 We should fulfill our duties without getting attached to their
results. Because we have no control over the result.
 The person who worries about how he can please Krishna is
stressed to serve Krishna, and then his life becomes glorious. If
the stress is for Krishna, then stress is also good.
 We should listen daily to self-realized souls. We should read
daily. Thus, we can proceed in our spiritual lives.
 Glorifying the Lord and his devotees is Bhagwat Dharma. We
should tell about Krishna to everyone we meet or come into
contact with. This is the instruction of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
PAGE 32-33
 Whether you're in whatever stage of your life (such as
grahasta, brahmacharya, etc.), just do your responsibilities along
with bhakti.
 Acharyaa is harder than the thunderbolt.
 Bhakti is only for pure souls.
 If you're not in bhakti and you're doing sense-gratification, then
you're not worthy of bhakti.
 If you're in bhakti, you've got all the knowledge of what is right
or wrong, but still you're doing sin and chanting; it's called
nameapradh, which is very dangerous.
 If we are trapped in any kind of body, we are forced to act
according to that body (like a woman or any animal).
 The Lord is very close to those who stay away from money and
women.
 Bhagwat Geetaa is for devotees only, not for sinful people.
 A pure devotee is humbler than God. Even Krishna.
 By the grace of our guru, Shrilaprabhupada, we are engaged in
devotional service.
 Our relationship is eternal with our guru, Shrilaprabhupada.
 Without the skti of the Lord, we can't do nam prachaar.
 Even without the permission of Lord Krishna, no one can take
his name, which is why a most sinful person is not able to chant.
 A guru is someone who can deliver us from this material world
and who is rich with knowledge.

 Impersonalists thought they would merge with Nirakar and

become God.
 Impersonalists are criminals because they don't accept
supremacy. They think the Mahabharata and Ramayana are all
mythology.
 When Krsna left this planet, he was 125 years old. He was all
fresh. He was the youngest because he was always in his
spiritual body. God is God. No one becomes God. But
impersonalists think they will become supreme one day.

day.
 We want to choose the path that is easy, where we get all the
freedom of sense gratification.
 Animals are better than humans at this time. Animals are not in
depression, but humans face it.
 Our minds are not calm. So many things run in our mind. That's
why we get disturbed.
 The soul can't become peaceful as long as it is busy fulfilling the
desires of the mind. Unlimited desires are never going to end.
 We think we get satisfaction here. We get enjoyment here. This
person is not loyal. Let's try this one. keep trying.
 We satisfied the body, not the soul. The soul is only satisfied by
Harinaam.
 Material world: our lives are uncertain, we are too busy, and we
have no tension to free ourselves from this cycle of birth and
death.
 We want God to free us from our sufferings (selfish mood).
 We want approval from Shastras so that we can fulfill our
desires.
 Jeeva's inheritor is Sat Chid Anand. No one wants suffering.
Souls’ nature is to be happy always, because we are part and
parcel of Krishna, and he is always happy.
 When pain, suffering, and sadness come into our lives, we are in
an uncomfortable situation. Our nature is to be happy forever,
but we don't know the way to eternal happiness.
 The whole problem of suffering is this material body. If you are
free from all kinds of material bodies, if you are spiritual, then
you don't have to suffer.
 If one follows the rule, don't act according to the law of
government. That's why we have to suffer. Because we don't
want to serve the Lord, we don't act according to Him. So we
have to suffer in this material world.
 Only qualified and eligible people get the mercy to take
Krishna's name. If one takes Krsna's name, he is free from so
many sinful reactions. That's why he gets mercy to take Krsna's
name.
 When we chant Krishna's name, realization comes.
 We are blessed if we take Krishna’s name. Krishna gave us the
opportunity to follow the path of his pure devotees. Krishna is
ready to accept us.
 One who considers the chanting of Hare Krishna an
imagination...it's offense...when we commit offenses willingly,
they are not accepted. Krishna and Krishna's names are the
same. We directly touch Krishna.
 Knowingly and unknowingly, one chants Krishna's name to
benefit from Krishna's association.
 Krishna's name is touching stone. Anyone can touch it and turn
it into gold.
 Harinaam changes our mentality. Mentality changes activities.
Activities change character. Then we get attached to Krsna.
Attachment leads to love.
 Harinam is our eternal asset. Whatever activities and time we
invest in Krsna, it is an eternal asset.

going to be finished one day.

 When the material body is subjugated, it creates so much pain.
 Every now and then, we yearn for happiness, which is
temporary.
 Lord Krishna, don't give us pain (a problem).
 This problem that we have to face in this body is a problem
created by our own karma.
 Impersonalist believers are selfish; they don't have a serving
attitude; they consider themselves supreme.
 Our mind is like a monkey’s, running here and there. It creates a

You've got a right to know why you're suffering only in this life.
 This is a human life is a exam.

- Impersonalists thought they would merge with Nirakar and

become God.
- Impersonalists are criminals because they don't accept
supremacy. They think the Mahabharata and Ramayana are all
mythology.
- When Krsna left this planet, he was 125 years old. He was all
fresh. He was the youngest because he was always in his
spiritual body. God is God. No one becomes God. But
impersonalists think they will become supreme one day.

 We make excuses with the scriptures to only fulfill our minds

desires.
 We run here and there our whole lives to just fulfill our minds
demands. We may achieve all the material things—money,
fame, career, success, beauty—but it cannot satisfy us (our
soul).
 No one can take Harinaam without Krishna's permission or
mercy. A person can take harinaam and do Krishna's devotional
service only if he is eligible, has completed his sinful reactions
of so many births, and has accumulated so many punyas since so
many births.
 Krishna gives energy to these pure souls to do his loving
devotional service. This is Krishna's mercy.
 There is no difference between Krishna and his holy name.
When we chant his name, we get the same pleasure of touching
him directly.
 Harinaam is so powerful that it cures us from,,,,,,. काम, क्रोध,
लोभ, मोह, मद, मत्सर....our mentality, our thinking, and our
actions, our character, become pure. We become good human
beings. We get more and more pleasure in Harinaam. Gradually,
we get attached to God. And then our pure dormant love for
God awakens.
 The time we give to Krishna is our eternal asset. We will bring it
with us even after death.
PAGE 35-37
 If we really love God, we can see him everywhere...we can feel
his presence everywhere
 When we sincerely serve God....he will reveal himself. Just by
reading scriptures we cannot understand God. God is
understood by realization which comes after loving dedicated
devotional service of him.
 Krishna is inconceivable. We should accept that we cannot
understand Krishna even by learning vedas. So we have to just
accept our position and God's position and engage ourselves in
his loving service as soon as possible. After that we start to
understand.
 Simplest way to understand Krishna is to follow our spiritual
master's instructions with full conviction without any doubts.
 Chanting hare Krishna mahamantra is not a material activity.
Whatever we do to serve Krishna is our spiritual activity. If we
do loving devotional service of lord according to our Guru, we
are already living our spiritual life in this material world.
PAGE 38
PAGE 39-40
 To surrender means no personal desire...the devotee who
surrenders to guru and Krishna he always works according to their
desires.
 Surrender to Krishna for only one life.... never come again in this
material world. Give one life to Krishna and get permanent
solution of birth, death, old age, disease...miseries of this material
world.
 This material world has been made very attractive and full of
alluring distractions.... so that we always engage ourselves in its
illusion...we live in ignorance and never remember God...this was
our desire, we wanted to live independently, we wanted to enjoy
like Krishna....so that we were sent here. And this whole huge
material world is made by Krishna to just fulfill our desire of
independent enjoyment.
 One who listens daily advances gradually in spiritual
life....advancement in bhakti means lose interests in material
activities and material pleasures...we start developing interest in
chanting, reading, taking prasadam, serving lord, We like to be in
devotee association
 There is a huge difference in being Servant of Krishna and being
Servant in this material world....here in this world service means
slavery....but being Servant of Krishna means achieving highest
perfection of life. In spiritual world living entities compete to serve
Krishna, more we serve, more we get satisfaction.
 The person who doesn't follow disciplic succession or guru
parampara, he is not eligible to be listened.
