Science Week 5

1. The detailed lesson plan describes a science lesson for 3rd grade students about how candle wax changes from a solid to a liquid when heated. 2. Students will observe a candle burning and a piece of candle wax melting on a spoon over the flame. They will discuss how heat causes the wax to change forms from solid to liquid. 3. The lesson aims to teach students that applying heat can cause some solid materials to melt and change into a liquid state, which is called melting or liquefaction. Students will participate in hands-on experimentation and group work to explore these concepts.
