This document outlines use cases for an actor called Student, Club Head, and Admin on a student portal system. Actor - Student

Use Case ID Use Case Name Description

1 Sign In The user can login into the system by its login Id
and password to the portal which is provided by
the admin.

2 Change Password Change the password after logging into the


system. The user will be mailed a new system
generated password to his/her email ID.

3 Update Profile The user can view or change some of his/her


personal details. The profile will contain name,
their contact details, course, branch, year,
semester, hostel name etc.

4 Chat The user can message other account users.

5 Post on Timeline The user can post on their timelines under


various categories which will be visible to other
users.

6 Search Posts The user can see other’s posts under various
categories by searching the keyword

7 Calendar The user can mark their events in the calendar


and will get notified.

8 Sign Out The user clicks on the sign out button. The
system signs out the user, invalidates the cookie
and redirects user to the homepage of website.

Actor - Club Head

queries related to club events etc.

system signs out the user, invalidates the cookie
and redirects user to the homepage of website.

and redirects user to the homepage of website.
