influence their motivation, engagement, and overall academic success. Therefore, it is crucial
for schools to invest in creating conducive and inspiring learning spaces.
2. How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/How
does this relate to your knowledge of facilitating learning?
Ans. In both cases, understanding child and adolescent development informs the design of
classrooms and school spaces that cater to students’ developmental stages, and it underscores
the importance of maintaining conducive learning environments to facilitate effective
teaching and learning.

not?
Ans. Yes, I would be happy to teach in the school environment I observed. The clean and
well-maintained surroundings, along with the organized and well-equipped classroom,
create an excellent setting for effective teaching and learning. However, it’s important to
note that while the physical environment is important, the quality of teaching and the
relationships built with students are equally critical. The school environment, while
favourable, would be most effective when combined with effective teaching strategies
and a strong teacher-student relationship.
2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?
Ans. A conducive school campus is one that prioritizes the well-being and learning needs
of students by providing a safe, engaging, and resource-rich environment. Such an
environment fosters academic success, personal growth, and a sense of belonging among

1. Go around the school and examine the board displays. How many board displays
do you see?
Ans. I counted 3 of board display around the school.
2. Where are the display boards found? Are they in places where target viewers can
see them?
Ans. The display boards are located in common areas such as hallways, walls at
reading area, and near classrooms. They are strategically placed where students,
teachers, and visitors can easily see them.
3. What are the displays about? What key messages do they convey? What images
and colors do you see? How are the pieces of information and images arranged?
Ans. The displays cover various topics, including student achievements, upcoming
events, educational information, and artwork. The key messages range from
celebrating accomplishments to providing important information about school
activities. The displays use a combination of colorful images and text. The
information is typically organized in a clear and visually appealing manner.
4. What materials were used in making the displays? Are borders used?
Ans. The displays is made of an aesthetic borders with colorful borders to enhance
their visual appeal and make them stand out.
5. Do you notice some errors? (misspelled words, grammar inconsistencies and the

Ans. I did notice a few.
6. Are the messages clear and easily understood?
Ans. Overall, I found the messages on the boards pretty clear and easy to understand.
They use simple language and bullet points to make the information digestible.
7. Think about what got your attention. Why did it get your attention?
Ans. What really caught my eye was a display showcasing student artwork. The colors
and creativity of the pieces were really striking. I guess it got my attention because it’s
a nice reminder of the artistic talent we have here in the school.

Ans. The five skills are Creativity, Effective communication, Organizational skills, Visual
Design, and Adaptability. These skills are essential because they collectively contribute to
the effectiveness of board displays in aiding student learning. Creativity and visual design
make displays engaging, while communication, organization, and adaptability ensure that
the content is clear, relevant, and tailored to the audience, ultimately enhancing the
educational impact.
