UNIT-1
2 a) Show that in an induction motor the rotor input: power developed: [5M] CO L1

b In a 6-pole, 3-phase, 50 Hz motor with star connected rotor, the [5M] CO L3

Ω per phase and an e.m.f between the slip rings on open circuit is
175 V. Find: (i) Rotor e.m.f per phase. (ii) Rotor frequency and

(i) Terminal voltage. (ii) Currents. (iii) Power delivered by each of
the alternators to a load resistance 6 Ω.
