DKG-109

AUTOMATIC MAINS
FAILURE UNIT

DESCRIPTION MEASUREMENTS
The DKG-109 is a comprehensive AMF unit for a single Generator Volts: L1-N
genset standby or dual genset mutual standby Generator Amps: L1
operations. Generator KW: L1
phase voltages and controls the automatic starting, Generator pf: L1
stopping and load transfer of the generating set in case Generator Frequency
of a mains failure and once the generator is running, it Engine rpm
monitors internal protections and external fault inputs. If Mains Volts: L1-N, L2-N, L3-N
a fault condition occurs, the unit shuts down the engine Mains Volts: L1-L2, L2-L3, L3-L1
automatically and indicates the failure source with the Mains Frequency
corresponding red led lamp and text. Battery Voltage
Engine Coolant Temperature
The operation of the unit is controlled with front panel Engine Oil Pressure
pushbuttons. The RUN, AUTO and STOP pushbuttons Fuel Level
select the operating mode. Other buttons select the
display parameter scroll, alarm mute and lamp test
functions.
FEATURES
The DKG-109 provides a comprehensive set of digitally True RMS measurements
adjustable timers, threshold levels, input and output Automatic mains failure
configurations and operating sequences. The Engine control
unauthorized access to program parameters is prevented Gas engine support
by a 3 level password protection. All programs may be Engine idle speed control
modified via front panel pushbuttons, and do not require Generator protection
an external unit. Built in alarms and warnings
Magnetic pickup input
The fault conditions are considered in 3 categories as Remote Start operation available
Warnings, Loaddumps and Shutdown Alarms. Dual genset mutual standby operation
Measured values have separate programmable limits Load shedding, dummy load
for warning and shutdown conditions. The unit is able to Periodic maintenance request monitoring
send SMS messages in fault conditions. Event logging with measurements
Last 100 faults are stored in the event log file. The Statistical counters
event log includes a comprehensive list of measured Field adjustable parameters
genset parameters at the time that the fault has Logic level serial port

occurred.
Free MS-Windows Remote monitoring SW:
The unit offers the magnetic pickup input as standard -monitoring and control
for engine rpm measurement. -download of parameters
The service request warning turns on at the expiration -upload of parameters
of either engine hours or time limits. GSM SMS message sending on fault
MODBUS communications
It is possible to monitor and control the operation of the Graphic LCD display (128x64 pixels)
system locally or remotely with the WINDOWS based User friendly graphic indicators
RAINBOW program (external adapter required). Triple language support
The unit supports MODBUS protocol enabling Customer logo display capability
communication with PLCs and building management Protected semiconductor digital outputs
systems. Configurable analogue inputs: 3
Configurable digital inputs: 5
The unit is designed for front panel mounting. Configurable relay outputs: 2
Connections are made with 2 part plug and socket Total relay outputs: 6
connectors. Survives cranking dropouts
The unit offers triple language support. Default Sealed front panel
languages are English-Turkish and Chinese. Plug-in connection system for easy replacement
STATISTICS TELEMETRY AND REMOTE PROGRAMMING

Following incremental counters provide statistics about past The unit provides the user with large telemetry facilities via its
performance of the generating set: logic level serial port, connecting either to a PC or PLC
Engine Hours Run (external adapter required). It supports both RAINBOW and
Total KW-h MODBUS communication protocols.
Engine Hours to Service The PC program is used for below purposes:
Time to Service -monitoring and control
Number of Engine Cranks -parameter upload/download
Number of Genset Runs -diagnostics and analysis
The MODBUS interface allows the unit to be integrated in
EVENT LOGGING building management systems.

The DKG-109 records last 100 events with a total of 18 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
